Nothing is manufactured in the US anymore. Why did the US lose its manufacturing technology?
Free market strives towards white collar jobs and services, like internet companies and finance.Countries with high government intervention or outright socialism are the ones who typically have heavy industry.
The US has regulations, China forces their workers to work harder. You could have figured this out with a google search./thread
Ever since Reagan sold out America for cheap low quality Japanese steel
>>106596737Spoken like a true retard. The only reason why we have no domestic manufacturing and white collars jobs that require a high standard of certification is because of a culture of extreme risk aversion. We can very well establish a happy medium where there are white collar jobs like tech and finance while automating menial jobs like store clerks and warehousing. However, people in America are retarded because we didn't create a culture that values education or skill building. So training average people to maintain these systems won't be viable at all and business decisions are prioritizing short term thinking. Every decision made in business is also politicized via unions and entitled niggers so red tape gets applied everywhere and everytime some retarded asshat complains about something hence why companies would rather hire a jeet to do software programming and a mexican to build plumbing systems. But those hiring decisions also come at a major cost because they don't know how to do shit either. So what ends up happening instead is these companies get a bunch of contractors and consultants to do all the meaningful work for them which costs even more money which leads to more risk aversion. This entire country and its economy is a mess and all the dictatorships style leadership in the world can't fix this because the people here in america are fundamentally stupid. We value nothing at all except for whatever is good for the short term. Politicians only care about votes and lobbying money, not the direction that this country is headed in. Business executives and finance analysts only care about the line going up, not the quality of the products that exist or worker morale. The average person only cares about the immediate gratification that comes from working, and not about saving for the future or investing in something greater.
Lots of defense related things are manufactured in the USA
EUV was invented in the USA actually. It's just the Dutch do it slightly better at this point in time. For most semiconductor products this doesn't matter at all. Only super high speed CPUs and GPUs and such. Also there's a Chinese spy as the CEO of Intel at least according to Trump and I believe him when he says shit like this for sure.
Adam Smith's theory of specialization has been economic orthodoxy for almost 250 years. Basically, if each country focuses on getting really really good at a few things instead of trying to make everything:1. Goods get a lot cheaper2. Good become higher quality3. Countries become more economically productive as a resultThe US is really really good at exporting technology, but not manufacturing it. Taiwan, West Taiwan, and Korea are really good at manufacturing Chips. The world works better if America designs the chips and Taiwanese build them. This only becomes a problem when the increases in productivity are not distributed evenly across society. If only the shareholders of technology companies benefit from this arrangement, it becomes a political liability. As you can see in the US especially, the Republican party has essentially become a Socialist/Maoist political movement which seeks to control economic outcomes for those within a political in-group
>>106596924>EUV was invented in the USA actuallyNo.
>>106596748The people who make cheap Walmart crap are forced to live in the factory dorms aka communist slaves. iPhone manufacturers are notoriously suicidal
>>106596704wilton my balls homo
>>106596704Most "manufacturing" is pretty much akin to "LEGO for grown ups" which means once you give the necessary tools to any male anywhere in the world, it only takes a reasonably short time for that person to sufficiently perform the task. The only other requirement is monetary incentives to establish a supply chain around that guy. This is the "curse" of a connected world and the omnipresence of technology. And I say that as a German.
>>106597233ASML San Diego is located in the US and was responsible for EUV HVM.
>>106596924>I believe him when he says shit like this for sureyou don't have to, just look into his past and make your own conclusions
>>106597261I want to believe in the symbolic potential here, but the punchline is invisible
>>106596704>nothing>pic only shows 2 very specific areas of manufacturingSure.
We can just outsource it to brown thirdies and keep all the profits for Americans. Problem, thirdies?
>>106596704Jews
>>106596704difference in management and worker culture. US management is always looking to squeeze as much profit out of the short term while japanese businesses usually play the long game and take pride in the longevity
>>106596851>This entire country and its economy is a mess and all the dictatorships style leadership in the world can't fix thisI agree with most of your post except for this. I'm pretty sure a brutal dictatorship that prunes the useless eaters of every social stratum and enforces strict meritocracy could fix it.
>>106597740Problem is that the entire US tech sector cannot manufacture anything and is dependent on other countries. It works until it doesn't.
>>106598136>I'm pretty sure a brutal dictatorship that prunes the useless eaters of every social stratum and enforces strict meritocracy could fix it.Yeah, but your solution actually becomes a major problem when that dictatorship starts acting in its own self interest after purging those useless eaters as it usually does. At that point, it's not about the nation itself but about the nation's image. It could very well not work out in the long run as history has shown us time and time again. Your suggestion is also proof that the average joe is dumb as shit. It isn't your fault though since the state doesn't value education and everything. Ignorance is an effective means to retain power after all.
>>106596704Americans don't want to work, they want to be (((Consultants))) consulting consultants ad-nauseam, aka "scammers, but legal". The US has become a services and consumption-centric economy.
>>106596704>Why did the US lose its manufacturing technology? They moved it all off shore because it was cheaper.
The same reason why Spain was worse in the 1700 than in the early 1500s, they had the "silver and gold mine" of the world. Why would you waste time with worse jobs if you can print money?
>>106596851not reading that
>>106596704Jews sent it overseas to communist countries. Basically Jews allowed the communists to seize the means of production. Our production. Now we are reliant on their manufacturing.
>>106598723>Jews allowed the communists to seize the means of productionI had never realized this.
Because the USD is the global reserve currency. Basically most global trade is done in USD and as the rest of the world has rebuilt and grown post WWII the demand for dollars has skyrocketed. People will work for peanuts just to get printed dollars to do trade. Other countries manipulate their own currencies to be lower in value just to be a more favorable place to manufacture just to get more dollars. It is/was unsustainable both socially, which lead to Trump being elected, and from the aspect of imperial/military power seen where we lack(ed) the manufacturing capability to supply Ukraine with ammunition (why even Biden continued Trump's policies).Congress, being fools, mismanaged and continues to mismanage the US ever closer to a point of currency collapse. Had tariffs been implemented decades previous manufacturing would not have been exported.
>>106598175True but I just wanted some (You)s
There is still a lot of manufacturing know-how in the US, but it isn't nearly as widespread as it should be. It is shocking how little most people know about how things are made. Loosing shop class in high schools means a lot of people don't get an opportunity to hold and use tools and make something. But look at what spaceX can do; and all of that work has to be done with US citizens. A shameful amount of people in the US now just have zero exposure to it.
Well you guys are always acting smug and saying china will make cheaper arent you?
>>106599295Let me put it this way. The us works like a church plate where everyone reaches into their pockets snd puts some change. In china they reach into peoples pockets and take it all.
>>106596704Lack of coordination.
>>106596704They pushed it out to other countries where labor was cheaper.
>>106598136That only works in a small country with sizable military presence, like Burma.
>>106596704Boomers have spent their entire lives pulling up every single ladder they can find, regardless of where it even goes.
