>5.19GBHOLY BLOAT

haven't had any issues, the call screening thing is very based
>>106601924Jobs died 14 years ago.

>>106602157Data caps are a US thing.
>ipad os 26>no more split view and slide over fuck fuck fuck i shouldn't have upgraded fucking apple piece of shit
>>106602168ipados 17 is still signed, so just downgrade?
>>106602168Split view is still there, slide over isn't. In the Window mode, just snap two windows together (or use the icon) and then you can resize between the windows.
Also on iPad, the flick gestures to tile windows are quite efficient.
>>106602168Is the mouse pointer now proper arrow atleast?
>>106602234Yes.
>>106602168The windows work on my piece of shit ipad 9 that still has a home button.
Don’t update anons, it’s laggy af
>>106602168kekw. do people really have iPads?
>>106601900Liquid ass is shit don't install it
>Uglier>Runs like shit (on my 13 at least)>Ugly as fuck>Badly optimized>shitty animations>Laggy as fuckI regret downloading it bro
How do I revert back?
It's normal for it to be laggy on a fresh install. Wait for 26.1.
>>106603413signed ipsw can be restored by itunes. ios 18 is still signed, so revert to that.ipsw.me/iPhone14,4
realistically speaking, what are the consequences of not updating ios ever? i keep hearing about security vulnerabilities but we all know that nothing ever happens. doesnt it make sense to use the os version specifically made for you phone model? i still regret getting ios 18 because it ruined the look of the photos app for me
>>106604130they changed the photos app to more or less what it was like before the update
>>106601900Did they finally fix the control centre?
>>106602166that's what he said
>>106603220nothing lags on my iPhone 16 or my MacBook Pro m4 pro
>>106604320Check your privilege, buddy boy. Not everyone makes more than $50,000 a year.
>>106604320also here on iphone 15 pro and m3 pro macbook pro>>106604339then the cheapest scamsung and an accompanying dell plastic laptop might be a better fit for you
>>106601900I’ve updated. My m1 iPad Pro lags but the iPhone seems okay so far
>>106602168>slide overwhat's this?
>>106604473when you drag your cock across the screen
>>106603251Alright thanks I'll wait then
>>106604486ah thanks. mine's too small to have used that feature anyway
>>106604405You're not welcome in my thread, please leave
performance in balatro and Minecraft dropped like 20 consistent frames. I doubt any iOS developers are in this thread but if they are, if you fuck with balatro the only game worth playing on your subscription service, you fucked up
They forgot to update the ringer gui. It still looks like iOS 18
>>106604130ios 26 has a completely different design. most apps want to drop support for older ios versions as soon as possible.
>>106605932balatro is written in lua with the love2d framework. it's not native and has nothing to say to ios devs.
>>106604130with ios and mac there arent any consequences besides eventually (years from now) apps no longer supporting that ios version.ios and mac are secure by design so theres no such thing as a security vulnerability in the sense of some malware keylogging you or something. there could be a vulnerability with some integrated technology like bluetooth, but if its truly a dangerous vulnerability, they release hotfixes for ioses that even years out of date. there was a security fix for the iphone 5 like a year or two ago>>106606401yeah, but the xr and xs didnt get ios 26. when youre talking about a userbase as big as iphones, thats a ton of people that youd be losing from using your app by dropping support super early. at least 4 years until major apps start dropping it
Works fine here. MacBook Air, iPad Air, and iPhone. No issues. I’ve experienced horrible iOS updates before and this is not that.
>>106606429>at least 4 years until major apps start dropping itabsurd.you think there were major apps that still run on ios 14let's take chatgpt. it's ios 17+.you do realize the app store only supports one app version for all ios version. no one is going to maintain ifdefs for two completely different designs. your code would be a huge mess.
Everything is fine, except when I post on 4chan iPad OS, the cursor for the text box is incorrectly offset way below the actual text box. It sometimes stops and sometimes persists through restarting app/entire iPad.
Did they ruin Safari? Two taps to access tabs?
>>106606501if you are retarded and never learned safari gestures, yes
>>106601900>Who has updooted already?Updooted to tahoe yesterday, they changed some app icons with this version, noticeably the xcode icon. Will try the final version of ios 26 when my iphone 17 pro comes this friday, so far, as far as I've seen, liquid ass on ios looks terrible and not in a good way, the extent they should've glassed the icons should have been just the frame, not the whole icon artwork, it looks really bad.Plus, the new iphone 17 pro looks bad, better than in the leaks, but it honestly looks mediocre, like the design is somewhat half assed, even though I understand why it's like that.
>>106602166This, as far as I'm concerned I can just download hundreds of terabytes over my fiber connection, the only datacaps are on mobile connections that unlimited doesn't mean unlimited, it means it's unlimited until you hit a reasonable use threshold, around 100+ or 300+ GB.
>>106606510Ah yes the intuitive «swipe up from address bar» gesture you can’t possible know without having googled it
>>106606582so you really don't know. yours needs the address bar to be visible.
>>106606662What is it then? Pinch to zoom? Because all these suggestions are worse than tapping a button:>swiping up from the address bar requires the bar to be visible. Meaning you have to tap first and then swipe up>pinch to zoom requires two fingers and thus can’t be used with one hand So the short answer is yes Apple Cook has ruined Safari on iOS
>>106601924>>106603234>>106604339>>106603242>>106603220Saars don’t redeem upgrade. Stayings on androids please.
>>106606488>no one is going to maintain ifdefs for two completely different designs. your code would be a huge mess.you seem to have no idea how ios (and android's even) feature flags and compat libs work
>>106606971do tell me about those feature flags and compat libs for liquid glass
i have on 12 mini. seems to eat battery, looks like ass too. it shows how long until 80% on the lock screen now, and there's a new sleep score feature if you use an apple watch.
>>106601924>I don't know how updates work
iOS 18 had many bugs, this has too and visually even worse.
accidentally upgraded on my 11 pro because i'm a retardmy battery life was already cooked but now its fuckin friedcant do anything without the phone getting hot as fuck and eating battery
>>106607581spotlight is indexingprobably iphoto as well if they have some new featuresit will go away for the most part
PooDroids should get use to liquid glass since nothing original ever comes out of PooDroid so expect every PooDroid OEM to copy liquid glass by this time next year. Copy it poorly and jankily as always I might addpic unrelated
>>106607581I have iPhone 11 and my battery life got better. Very weird
>>106608218i have to test more but same on iphone 14. But maybe it's because I'm trying safari instead of brave, and the latter is badly optimized
>>106607155This is what I was most afraid of and it's shit work to replace the battery t. 12 Pro
>>106602576really? remember when they said you need an M1 iPad for Mission Control to work
>>106607157yes saar bloated filesize is sign of gorgeous looks please redeem the bloody ios
Have they fixed the complete fuckup of Mail app they made that's pissed everyone off this last year? It's a cluster fuck.
>>106607299IOS 18 Mail app completed fucked up. Hoping this got fixed
>>106608858i think in 18.1 they put in a notification to disable the AI inboxthat fixed it
>>106603242kek, literally unreadable.
>>106603234Pretty comfy for digital art, mediocre for anything else

>>106608752yeah, I think they forgot to feature lock it
>>106602119Can't a scammer just lie to the call screener?
>>106610828They just hang up 9 times out of 10 but you also tell it to ask for more infomation
>>106603242iSisters...
still on 17, turned updates off and forgot about it
>>106611008
I’ve been seeing lots of iOS devs and Mac devs scream and tear their hair out over how buggy all this shit isI’m definitely waiting until Christmas break before updating anythingHopefully that will give Apple enough time to work out the worst of the bugs with Alan Dye’s Vista revival
>>106601900I don't plan on updating anytime soon. Foreflight is having issues with it.
>>106602168Does the stage manager still work? I hate full screen apps.
>>106611062you switch between the different modes
>>106611026thankfully i read the thread, thought it might be time to update but i forgot LiquidAss was a thing

I'll wait until 26.2
>>106612088>>>/fit/roon/ is that way
I updated and have no problems, everything works fine. just remember to restart your phone after such a big update
>>106601900iPhone 11 BH 73%Battery died more quickly i guessphone is noticeably warmer than 18Im gonna use this one a week before downgrade back to 18
Iphone 13 pro here and I actually like the update, usually I hate them. there’s been some useful changes and the glass gimmick is not bad, makes using the phone smoother
>>106612418what useful changes?
>>106604130>realistically speaking, what are the consequences of not updating ios ever?you will stop getting app updates in about two or three years once Apple requires all new apps and updates to target 26+.
>>106611194>>106603242That's just a mock pic from https://mstdn.social/@lensco@mastodon.world/115184867007440165The keynote opened with that quote as white text on a black background.
