Instead Apple is planning to release an Apple Vision "Air" device for the iPhone's 20th anniversary, which will be capable of replacing the iPhone as their main flagship device.Internally they are calling it "a foldable iPhone" to obfuscate and prevent leaks. iPhones will still continue to be sold but will ditch the numbering name scheme and instead use a yearly date (ie iPhone (2027)).The Vision Air is going to be a lighter, "glasses" type of a device instead of having the Vision Pro's headset form factor.The device will operate without a fan unlike the Pro and it won't require a connection to an external battery, as it will have two batteries inside the temples/wings of the glasses and you will be able to fold them and fit them in your pocket.It will have an iPhone's processing power instead of an M chip and there will be a reduction in the quality of the displays and amount of cameras to reduce the price, which may be around 1500$ - 2000$. You will also be able to make phone calls.The device intends to be completely standalone that aims for the replacement of the iPhone instead of being a companion to it.It will be Tim Cook's final product reveal before he retires from the company.
