>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included.
You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation.

>Some inspiration for pirate music. Idk why but I was thinking of this TV show the other day. It was kind of an underwhelming show...
>Idk exactly what instrument sounds they were using in the intro, but it does sounds kinda pirate
So I looked into this some more, apparently the lead instrument is a "hurdy-gurdy" which is something I've literally never heard of, and I'm almost 40 years old. I guess I'm a musical loser, idk.
Anyway, here's a track that has a similar kind of sound, idk if it's exactly "pirate" though, seems maybe more "celtic" or whatever.
https://youtu.be/ojXcDKVbJTw
Also, this hurdy-gurdy video is pretty neat, though more generically "medieval" than pirate specifically
https://youtu.be/bvNZeh6f8vE
Anyway if I ever actually make a track, this is probably the vibe I'm going for

are fabfilter plugins really that worth it? specifically pro q4? yeah, im aware you can "acquire" them for free but just asking. ive tried pro q before and not entirely sure why people rave about it so much.
>>
>>106611289
I almost always use the stock EQ, but when I need something that it doesn't have (which mostly happens with sound design), Pro-Q is the "workhorse" EQ I tend to use the most, mainly for all the features like the extreme curves, the linear phase modes, the sidechain stuff, etc.
Definitely worth pirating it. The R2R cracks always worked flawlessly for me.
>>
>had a chance to flex electronic music skills in "digital music production" thread which could have been a banger
>some retards memed pirate theme in just like previous shitposting blunder

a dead thread, people unironically vote garbage themes in because they have no skill and having shit themes makes them feel better about posting garbage.

All "ironically" of course. I'm off, 0 submission from me this time.

>>
>>106611289

You certainly don't need them but they are quality products.

I personally use ZL Equalizer as a free substitute. It has a lot of the functionality from Pro-Q, including optional dynamic EQ bands.

EDM and Poppy music.
I might be psyoping myself with Porter Robinson, Joey Valence production clips.
I've been using Reaper for guitar stuff but something in my brain think it would help for edm/beat production.

No. You have to spend $800 for Ableton
No pro EDM producer makes EDM with FL Studio

Or you can pay less than half of that for Bitwig which is just Ableton but better, you still won't because it's not le industry standard and also not the DAW with 1000 tutorials about your first 30 minutes learning music production, same as Serum

Is it time to get back into Renoise?
