i sit in a dark room with sunscreen taped shut lol. Honestly i think im either buying a cheap 2-300$ random 1440p now, or im gonna sit on the fence for a couple more months and hopefully grab a good deal @ black friday on oled (last year had some pretty good monitor deals).. But waiting when i get my new build tomorrow is gonna suck.. ugh
>>
>>106618636
If you want a good gayming monitor go for a benq with environment light sensor. This allows you to automatically adapt the picture to the current environment light, which is better than most people expect. Delta E<2 on oleds doesnt mean shit if the environment light destroys the grey balance and makes the black levels vanish.

Even better would be a graphics monitor, but they are pretty much limited to 60Hz and only look good in a light controlled environment - which is unfeasible for anybody except photofags

Look up reviews ye. OLEDs always flicker in the refreshrate interval if it displays darker colors. VA, TN and IPS depend on the backlight. Its fine if its pwm dimming with at least 3kHz or if its dc-like dimming. Ideally the review has some measurements with a graph and the ms on x-axis, showing brightness on the y-axis.

Picrel shows the Samsung S95F OLED TV which clearly has brightness dips with the refreshrate but reviewers still claim that OLEDs are flicker free which is a flat out lie. I guess they just cant use their brains properly or something. They have the data right in front of them and they dont recognize it

"Under load" means differently depends on what game, resolution, fps, settings youre targeting, retard. Temp depends on your card's power draw and cooling solution. The 2060 super is very low powered.

Im playing with 60 fps cap for better letency, keeping my gpu below 100% around 80-90%. I wonder if the power cycles of full load to no load, to full load 60 times a second harm my gpu. It means that temps probably look like a zig-zag. Its probably no issue at all because it would be extremely retarded if it would

it works on any card with int8 support so as far back as pascal (gtx 1000), vega, and intel arc. the better the int8 the faster it will run. for example theres less of a impact on 9070xt than 7900xtx because rdna4 is just way better at int8 and fp8.

Water is nice because you are moving the heat directly out of the case and not dumping it in a metal box to be sucked up by other components.

>>
>>106619821
https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-decode-support-matrix
>>
>>106619862
No i mean to the radiator blowing directly out of the case. The reservoir is after the radiator and all the heat has been expelled. Nothing is dumber than a 600w gpu blowing hot air onto the MB and CPU cooler when it could be routed outside the case with no noise at all.
>>
>>106619859
fp8 fsr4 is better quality and can run on 9000/7000(on linux using wmma). it wont run on anything lower than that.

int8 is slightly worse quality but it will run on more stuff. its already better quality than xess2 which is a win.

>>106619892
your cpu & gpu usage goes down because the shaders and cores are free to do other things as the display controller is doing the work now like frame buffering and framegen.

>>106619689
Oh good point, I didn't notice the radiators in there.

Nintendo, CDPR, Bethesda, FromSoftware, Koei Tecmo, SEGA, Bamco, Ubisoft, and Capcom are the only ones I can think of that still use (or at least primarily uses) their own proprietary engines

Namco is making their own engine right now
Sega is still using Hedgehog Engine and whatever powers Phantasy Star
Capcom has RE Engine
Koei Tecmo has their own engine
So does Falcom
Granblue Relink was on a custom game engine
Death Stranding 2 is using Decima Engine from Horizon

For FPS... Valve, Remedy, id and Call of Duty (BO6 used the IW 9.0 engine)

Unreal Engine is slop.
