SN7100 (Gen 4) vs SN8100 (Gen 5) if I care about battery life8100 is more efficient at peak but not sure which is better during regular useWould 8100 draw less power than 7100 at the same speeds?
Why is bankrupt Intel and Nvidia joining forces and attempting to bruttally kill the onoly thing team red bros had going for us??? Is this legal for htem to do? What can we do to stop this?
Guys, never using Nvidia GPUs again their drivers suck on Windows & Linux
Hello, ESL man from spain here.>https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4K7Q4pI am currently using the pc for work (.NET legacy code mainly)I was thinking in buying a SSD for alternative OS boot (havent decided the distro yet) and escape the hellscape that developing for .NET and windows 11 is becoming in my country. Is it worth it to buy a new SSD to keep both OS's isolated?
if my monitor has USB ports is it possible to buy some sort of external controller that will let me turn it on/off/use the OSD?the little joystick for that on the back just broke and is barely working
which mobo should I go for?b850 mag tomahawk or b850 aorus elite?the mag tomahawk does have better headers and 2 usb3.2 headers (im gonna use the corsair frame 5000d and it would use both headers)but the aorus elite does look nicer and has a better heatsink for the arm but doesn't have as many headers>what cpu?9950x3dare there any other boards with 2 usb3.2 headers?also when I look up known issues the tomahawk seems to have more of them and seems more unstable but I couldnt find anything conclusive regarding that
>>106625300>Is it worth it to buy a new SSD to keep both OS's isolated?I would buy a new SSD for the other OS.>>106625139I'd assume the SN7100 is more power efficient because it has no dedicated memory chip.If you need the drive to have the lowest latency, get the SN8100.

>>106625525>like pixel refreshes and all that.why do you think I've been sperging out about bad implementations about pixel refreshes for several months?it's a solved problem and a non issue that should be invisible to the user and automatically done when the display is turned off, however due to retardation in the monitor manufacturer space, they some how interpreted this as the samsung/lg spec being it NEEDS to be ran at a 16 hour interval minimum, which then they implemented a FORCED pixel refresh at when the accumulated time has been reached, if a pixel refresh has not been triggered before then, this introduced even more problems due to shit like the timer running when the monitor is idle off - meaning it might run after 1 hour when the monitor is on, other things like that, and as such might trigger in a competitive match or some shit like this, as reported indefinitely on leddit and many placescorpo dick suckers will say this is not a problem and will defend their post purchase rationalization, techtubers will refuse to answer this due to sponsorshipsto know that I am right about this you can look no further than to see that MSI had to back pedal to increase the timer to 24 hours, however this should not even existTVs already solved this before monitorsmobile phones with oleds don't behave like thislaptops don't behave like this (afaik)no device behaves like thisit's a solved problem and you are safu if you just buy a non retarded display implementation, many are retarded however>>106625536woled is literally just worse, trying to rebadge it does not change it>>106625641you will never own an oled

I have an AIO with 3 fans on the radiator, but one of them is grinding and has to be replaced. The problem is that these fans are no longer available. Can I replace the one fan for another brand fan (Noctua for example), or is it better to replace all three of them due to some issue or whatever the fuck I am overlooking? I already know how to do it since the pump comes with a breakout cable that controls all 3 fans, just trying to figure out how much it'll cost me.
>>106626766outside of the 3 radiators i put in the case prior to gpu release, this computer got put together by 9pm the day that the 9070 xt was released and that included the nap i took after i got home from microcenter. as you can see this photo was time stamped midnight that night after it was already loaded into an os

>>106627266Only if there's leftover GB202 dies. The 3090 Ti was released because the 6900 XT put up a fight against the 3090, and AMD had a 6950 XT mid-gen refresh.
>>106627209You can slap anything on there even if they are daisy chained PWM, PWM is a common analogue technique so theres no compatibility issues. Thinking about returning the MSI B650M Mortar board, because the>ASUS TUF Gaming B850M-Plus II now available. It has PCIe 5.0 x16, and also the ALC1220 which simply worked. Browsing through the net, I am a bit concerned about the ALC 4080 now.

I'm buying a laptop for work. It will be a windows machine.I will dual boot that shit, so it must be capable to run 2 ssds.My desktop is a r7 98003xd, so I just want the laptop be powerful enough for programing, remote work, youtube and animus. I will go for a budget tier AMD.I want to know how much ram I will need too, I will not be playing heavy games on it, but I want my laptop fast too. So 16GB, 24GB or 32GB?I saw brands like Asus, Dell, Lenovo, etc.Which one of them would you recommend? What should I be aware of?

good evening niggers, i am currently on linux mint and helldivers 2 is running a little poopy. even before i switched from win11 i struggled to get 60fps on 2k with a 3060ti and an r5 5600x. i am starting to have my doubts about this card being good for 2k. i've also been told that my cpu could be causing a bottleneck but i don't know. help me figure this out cause there's no fucking way a shitty ps4 game is assblasting my system like this. 40 fps even down to 30 with barely anything happening on screen.
>>106629389>2kAnything above 1080p is a meme.
>>106629389at 1080p does your fps improve? then you will know if it's a cpu or gpu bottleneck
>>106629414at 1080p it improves by quite a lot
>>106629415then you have your answer, it's the gpu, you probably get heavily cpu limited at diff6 and above though
An extremely hooded out nigger gave me a 4090 for $300, works so far.How much do I sell this for?

Looking to upgrade my monitor>27inch OLED, not sure if WOLED or QD-OLED>1440p>240hz+, preferably 360hz>preferably glossy finish>$650 budget
>>106629187Getting pretty late around here, so dunno how much I can assist rn. Still, here are some things to consider.> displayWhat size, resolution, and hz do you want?Resolution also implies an aspect ratio. 16:10 is often a good choice, being very close to 16:9 for content consumption, but also slightly taller to benefit browsing/office stuff/programming.Then there's display type. IPS might be better for programming/browsing/other text things, OLED is usually superior for gaming & content consumption.Might also wanna think about glossy/non-glossy panels, as well as color accuracy.Lastly, do you envision yourself connecting it to an external monitor much of the time? If so, the laptop display may matter less, being only used as a secondary screen.> budgetHow much are you looking to spend, roughly?Obvs, if you find a cheaper machine that would work well, you can always spend less. If your employer is paying for it tho, might as well get as much machine as you can.> battery life & bulkAre you gonna plug it in most of the time, or will using it on battery be a common occurrence? Will you be lugging it around a lot, or just between rooms of the same place, or else just between home and work?> programing, remote workHow heavy are these? If it's just medium-intensity compiling and office work, you probs won't need a recent high-end 45w CPU or whatever. On the other hand, if you're frequently compiling Chromium, or handling hueg spreadsheets, a stronger CPU might be helpful.
After my [product] gets here I'll tell everyone why they also should get one, since it's discontinued.
>>106629652Not many glossy WOLEDs at that price range, look for discounted QD-OLED monitors (240/360Hz).Alienware AW2725D is probably the better $500~600 QD-OLED monitor.Samsung G61SD 240Hz is an alternative; MSI appears to have a lot of 240Hz QD-OLED monitors near $500 but MSI has the stricter panel protection routines (can't disable pixel shift and other quirks). If you're okay with matte WOLED, wait for the new Gigabyte monitor.https://tftcentral.co.uk/news/gigabyte-mo27q28g-4th-gen-woled-release-date-and-pricing-confirmed

Retard first timer here. I heard cpu coolers already come with some thermal paste in the box for you to apply or preapplied. I'm not seeing anything in the box though, is there any preapplied in pic related?Cooler is Deepcool ak400 and cpu is a ryzen 9600x

Building a passively cooled PC with this DB4 case. Can't think of anything higher spec for it than an 8700g, mini ITX motherboard, 128gb ddr5 6000/30cl, their zf240w psu, 2tb nvme. I don't play any crazy advanced games, just WoW, and would mainly use it to fuck around with LLM's/CV(yolo, ultralytics), etc.I have a norbauer Heavy 9 keyboard and an Eizo CS270 so it all fits in thes aesthetic if anyone has a good wireless mouse recommendation too.
Built my new PC build for 8 hours today as a complete first time builder, and i still need to finish a bit more wiring before i can boot >.>.. fuck me it was exhausting, but also very fun! the hours flew by so fucking fast wtf.things that would've made my life easier: not mounting the top exhaust fan until after plugging in the cpu power connector, that top left spot was so insanely tight, same with the cpu_fan connector that was so damn near the thermalright fans, also HOLYYY i think i used 2 hours just to get the motherboard inside, tried it with 3 different screw sets until i found the correct ones, tightening 8 different ones one by one, then some wouldnt tighten so had to take them all out to recheck if that one spot was bad or wtf it was, if i tightened too much it would just get too lose again, chatgpt said it was normal for motherboard screws to be like that. then after not getting anywhere when the screws was too lose i started checking the other screw packs that came with the case, the 3rd pack was superdamn easy to tighten and wouldnt 'reset' if i went too hard.left to do:front panel wiring, usb wiring, audio wiring and 5x fans + rgbwanted to be really thorough so tomorrow should be a good day:')
