Because it was a stupid question. NVIDIA and AMD make more money selling non-gaming products.
The RTX 50 GPUs are made in the same custom TSMC 5nm process as the RTX 40 GPUs.
You obviously have to stop making the older chips since TSMC has a finite prodution capacity (and is fully booked for 2+ years).

Regarding a potential shortage of the RTX 50 cards, production of the Super GPUs should've started by now.
AIBs would've already placed the last major batch orders for these regular RTX 50 chips to prepare for the holiday season.
You're not going to get incredible discounts on existing RTX 50 cards, only limited 5070 models are selling (barely) under MSRP.
>>
>>106635102
I've never used that specific brand but since its chinese, you should already keep your expectations low
That said, they are rather handy for productivity purposes, serving as an easy-to-carry 2nd monitor (or a monitor for an SBC) when travelling
Just grab a 1080p one if you really want one

Right now I have a ~7 year old intel nuci3. Now I'm looking to homelab, vms, and tinker. I also want to transition away from console gaming (series s), so I'm looking for something that will comfortably handle gta6 for when it arrives to pc. USA and budget I'm thinking is $1200. I've only looked at the prebuild guide on pcpartpicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/xpkcCJ/excellent-amd-gamingstreaming-build
logical increments hasn't been updated since april

>Dying Light The Beast Hardware Requirements
>Hardware requirements are not very high, the game runs very well on a wide range of hardware. In order to reach 60 FPS at 1080p, without upscaling, maximum settings, you only need a RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 4060 Ti, RTX 5060, RX 7700 XT, RX 9060 XT or faster. Got a 1440p monitor? Then you need either a RTX 5060 Ti, RTX 4070, RX 7900 GRE or RX 9070. At 4K, things suddenly get a lot tougher and the only AMD card that can hit 60 FPS is the RX 7900 XTX. On the NVIDIA side you're good with RTX 4080, RTX 5070 Ti and faster.

>AMD cards are doing quite poorly in Dying Light The Beast and recent non UE5 titles, compared to where we usually see them in UE5 titles. We did use the brand-new game-ready driver from AMD, so it's not a lack of official support. Additionally, it looks like NVIDIA's newest Blackwell architecture gains some extra FPS, especially on the higher-end cards.

OH NO NO NO NO. btw if you really must buy an amd card at least wait to see if redstone is a meme and get a 9070 or 9070xt minimun
>>
>>106636287
I know. I just didn't want to take that risk. There were a couple of local sellers, but one of them refused to let me test the card at his place, and the other listings were overpriced. Why would anyone pay 1500+ euros for a 3 year old 4090 with no warranty when there are new 5090s for 2100 - 2400 euros?

I paid 2260 euros for the Gainward model. I could have bought a Founder's Edition for 2160 euros, but I'm in Croatia and the Dutch shop that had them in stock doesn't ship to Croatia which means I'd have to use a freight forwarding service.
Unfortunately, a lot of EU shops refuse returns if you use a freight forwarding service so I didn't want to risk it.

Using Germany as baseline as they tend to have some of the lowest parts prices in the EU but feel free to adjust them to your local market or whichever nation you have favorable important duties access. Do you not need a case? What's your current monitor model #?

The 9800X3D is overpriced for the performance uplift it has on the 7800X3D, see here (basically 5% in games):
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-7-9800x3d/27.html
AM5 will have support through 2027 or longer so you can always add an endgame CPU upgrade to your system later for cheaper when necessary.

The MSI PRO B650M-P's VRM is too weak and throttles top-line AMD CPUs according to HUB tests:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUUVW7wgR3s&t=1401s
Your next most affordable option is the ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 (avoid the HDV/M.2+)

2TB NVMes are better with how bloated apps/games/OS are these days and are a better deal €/GB wise (here it was only 15€ more than the 1TB Samsung drive to double capacity)

Nothing wrong with the PSU if it's a good price but it only has a 7-year warranty whereas this MSI model has a 10-YR warranty.

AMD is awesome. No one else has something like the 8700G out, save getting a Mac mini. Waiting for M6, hopefully they go all out with unified memory and we can get something insane like a 10000G with unified memory so RAM can be used as VRAM on the fly or something crazy.

However, I want to upgrade my OS SSD while also upgrading to Windows 10 LTSC, and I have no idea how to do this. where the fuck are the good mini led monitors???
>>
>>106637562
Yeah I've got everything I care about backed up and/or on another drive. The OS drive is just super small and it's getting cramped and there are sometimes programs that only install to C: even if you tell it to install elsewhere or they offer no choice at all. I'm starting to notice the ~20 gigs that random shit in Local and Roaming eat up.
>>
>>106637550
>>106637178
Annnd it's called "backhaul" but it's a standard mesh feature.

Another reason to use a mesh is that you have remote management options. Say you want your pc to not be online. you can do that remotely, with some mesh systems.
>>
>>106637595
>on another drive
two drives, not just one. That's not a backup, is it, if you wipe your original?
>>
>>106637609
Everything I care about is on a different SSD in the same computer and/or backed up on an external. I just want to replace my current OS drive with a bigger one due to all the random stuff that force installs to C: and whatever leftover things are on there from programs I've uninstalled or forgot I even had installed. Plus, I've been wanting to switch to LTSC for a while now anyway, so I'll get two birds stoned at once.

I would get 2 m.2s if i were you. One 1TB low-spec (still with a DRAM cache of course) for your OS and all major programs and drives. And at least a 2TB high-spec m.2 for games+data.

I see less blur at 60 FPS than 180 FPS because the individual frames stay on my screen for longer and can be interpreted individually. At 120+ FPS they just all blur together and I find myself focusing on UI elements like health bars and damage numbers to make sense of what's going on.

to improve image clarity you need to combine high hz with fast pixel response times and oled easily provide that while older lcd's struggle

Building one of these DB4 PC's.
So far,

Mini ITX board: ROG Strix B650E-I

CPU: Risen 8700G

RAM: 128GB (64x2) DDR5 6000 CL30 EXPO

PSU: ZF240 240W passive

HD: 2 TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe

This is all going to be passively cooled, sealed, not sure if there will be any heat issues besides the CPU with additional coils to push off 120W max from the CPU to the case. Will I be at risk of the memory heat soaking here, or can they run perpetually in a sealed system with no air?

Will be full throttle for hours at a time.

ill try to make it as simple as I can
>cpu connects all the components
>cpu has set amount of lanes that connect those components to it
>the different boards essentially have differences in the lane count and quality (gen4 or gen5)
>more lanes = more components can be connected in the motherboard
>in your case, it means more nvme storage which will always be better when doing video editing
now x870 and x870e boards have the retarded specification of needing at least 1 usb4 port, that port alone takes away 4 lanes off the cpu leaving you with less lanes for nvme and gpu that connect directly to the cpu (which will always be better than connecting through the chipset). In order to have that usb4 port, manufacturers do something called bifurcation which means splitting lanes between components. most x870/e boards take away lanes from the gpu slot which is 16 and split it into 8 for gpu, and 2 nvme each getting 4 lanes. you would either have to not place nvme on the slots that share lanes with the gpu or kneecap the gpu for the nvme. Since you are getting a 5080 it can use all 16 lanes but if you add one nvme in the wrong slot it will get fucked and go down to 8 lanes, this will hold back its full performance.
youll be paying more for multiple features youll avoid or that will hamper performance
-
b850 leave the gpu lanes unmolested, almost all if not all b850 boards have gen5 lanes for the gpu and 1-2 nvme, the rest of the lanes being gen4 anyways and if theres any bifurcation its usually only on 1 nvme slot and 1 pcie slot (never the gpu slot) which you can avoid and still have 3 nvme slots since most boards have at 4 nvme
so x870 boards are the biggest scam right now unless you really need a fuck ton of high speed usb ports in the back and are willing to hamper your gpu for nvme
for storage, gen5 only benefits editing but the high cost and them getting hot af makes them not worth the money yet, so get gen4 nvme, its more cost effective

There's many possibilities including the GPU itself eg. old game not utilising the full feature set of a modern GPU. Are any of your other readouts high? CPU, RAM, VRAM, etc?

I bought a 9070, my 5800x is getting bottlenecked, so I want to upgrade to AM5. For this reason, I want to build around my GPU in terms of aesthetics, it's a Sakura Atlantis, the waifu card with the mermaid vtuber. Any recommendations for ram, PC case and maybe even AIO (9800X3D)?

Just do a basic white build and it'll look nice. For the motherboard I'd recommend gigabyte's b850 ice boards since they're the whitest and don't have any major flaws.
Case wise, I'd suggest getting any that has unimpeded bottom intake for the GPU so that it can run cooler and quieter

If it's just one game it's unlikely you have a true bottleneck. Wouldn't be surprised to see unoptimised/outdated particle effects in a Korean MMO.

Used 5600+B550 should eliminate any CPU binding. Card is trickier since the 6600XT is still pretty reasonable for budget 1080p - you'd need to spend some real money to get a meaningful upgrade. 7700XT/4070 (used) or 9060XT (new) would be the lowest tier worthwhile upgrade IMO. Plus ofc you'd need to upgrade the CPU to keep balance.

i havent bothered upgrading from 25.8.1 to 25.9.1 because i havent bought any new games recently, and everything works just fine. Winblows 11 user though, i realised that i had to set multiple games to compatibilty mode to get them to stop bugging out while playing though, its the OS at fault.

Also just fucking update your OS, i hate it too, i GET it, but unsupported OS's connected to the internet = you getting hacked by pajeets, its stupid to remain on 10. No wonder the drivers are fucking up for you.

Not really. If you live near a MicroCenter you can check out their bundle deals, used parts on Ebay, or wait for sales during Black Friday. Otherwise something like this would be your cheapest reasonable upgrade:

Chipset-wise, x870e is x670e + required usb 4, and x870 us b650e + usb4.0, but since x870(e) tend to be newer they might have some non chipset upgrades. For example with MSI Tomahawk, iirc the wifi and lan are of newer gen on x870e compared to x670e. Also, for Tomahawk x870e, the bifurcation for usb is with nvme m2.2 slot, but if you don't care for usb4.0, you can disable it in bios to get the m2.2, (which is gen5, same as m2.1) into x4 instead of x2.
Strictly speaking, b850 only requires gen 4 on the gpu, and less 5.0 lanes in general.

It's a bit overkill for what I usually play, but I'm tempted to cough up an extra ~$400 for the 5070 ti (also Zotac) that's on sale for slightly below MSRP ($1299 vs $1599). Though there's also the super variant rumours looming at the horizon which I don't know the release date of.
Thoughts?

You're almost better off half-plugging it in to the board first before installing it in the case and then routing the other end back around to plug into the PSU (assuming it's modular) because they stick it in the upper left corner with barely any clearance otherwise.

Why would you play DaS1+2 on emulator compared to pc anyways?

>>Elden Ring PS4 (Performance is largely a sub-30fps affair for Sony's console. Locked 60fps on PS5)
Maybe if you play the PS4 version on PS5, even then I don't think it's locked
Consoles are so abysmally shit

A certain small youtuber recently bought and extremely entry level pc with an rtx 5050 and was blown away with the quality in comparison with the PS5 Pro on a 77" OLED
should say enough, consoles are cooked beyond belief, made me actually not want to buy a Slopsole just for exclusives, consolesfags are truly poor
