What's the current YouTube/social media meta?
>>
>>106639609
no breaks between sentences, quick cuts to keep viewers in a state of mild confusion and agitation and also quickly switching between topics to keep the viewer engaged.
>>
>>106639609
punch in, jump cuts to twitter meme videos, or showing short stock footage and AI generated videos during a video essay to keep the viewer stimulated.
>>
>>106639609
Turn-a-thing into a culture war.
>>
>>106639609
Talk about how old video games are eerie and liminal because they have spaces without people or detail.
>>
>>106639609
Jokes aside, I was thinking of looking into sites that pay content creators aside from YouTube. Apparently, TikTok and Facebook do. I'm not sure if there are any others though. Maybe Rumble?

And Xitter, but that's its own can of worms. Still, if they pay for video it might be worth multiplatform publishing. Twitch counts as well, but that's only for streaming.

We stopped posting frogs in like 2008, I hear. It's funny to see some fat people still doing it ironically.

desu I find it useful that people turn into their niche's archetype.
>the eternal basedboy: open mouth thumbnail, often hiding a balding hairline with a cap.
>engagement baiting: "<provocative statement or media>, what do you think??", rage baiting, etc.
>"start doing this" "you're doing this wrong" "the new <placeholder> is amazing! this is why"
>"new things bad. old things better" contents. always outraged or angry.
>AI slop & people who build their whole personality about hating AI slop.
>drama people

The current landscape is sad to see but at least it's easy to navigate.
It's easy to know when THE ALGORITHM switches to showing you contents designed to get you to keep scrolling instead of contents you're looking for.

It seems to be
>generate AI overview of vaguely interesting topic
>read out AI script to camera
>have your third-world minion cut it to ~8 mins (optimised for ad revenue) with some le funny cuts/zooms for epicness
>generate edgy AI clickbait title/thumbnail
>repeat
>>
>>106641894
I block stuff like that whenever I see it. Some actual creators, rather than Indian slop farms, jumped on the AI bandwagon and then complained that they started getting fewer views.
>>

That's like ten years ago man, now it's twenty minutes of rambling about grift fodder to soak up second monitor time

>Look at Twitter and news sites for trending topics
>Spend ten minutes researching the subject
>Make a list of thoughts/feelings/questions about the topic
>Turn on OBS
>Turn on webcam or vtuber software
>Press record
>Talk for ten to forty minutes about the topic
>Upload video to youtube
>Cut up youtube video into ten to forty second clips
>Upload clips to x/Instagram/tiktok/youtube
You'll suck at this at first but it will get easier. The topics never run out because you are only talking about current events in a group of topics you selected and somewhat care about. You can make so many videos that you have many chances for an audience to latch on to your posts.
People do this about video games. People do this about politics. People do this about other people's podcasts. People do this about tech. Just farm the ever loving fuck out of whatever is trending as hard as you can. When you have the money pay an editor to clip things up, start a community where people can share topics you can cover. Sell sponsorship space and merchandise to the audience. Maybe don't do politics because people are catching bullets these days, unless you got big big balls.

Ublock origin and a script to block shorts.
>>
>>106645445
That doesn't even begin to cover it, I've got like 10 extensions dedicated to YouTube alone. And several userscripts.

>Maybe don't do politics because people are catching bullets these days, unless you got big big balls.
It's also saturated as hell, nobody will care what you have to say unless you're well established already.
>>
>>106645563
Not to mention that it seems like the most annoying genre in the world. I don't know how people can just shout and get angry all day. I lose my temper just listening to the news on some days.

I know anons call /pol/ a containment board, but Jesus Christ is /biz/ entirely unmoderated? Not even /r9k/ does that level of shitposting. That screenshot doesn't even begin to cover it, if you scroll down it feels like there are more off-topic threads than regular ones. On a board that's already 99.9% shitcoin shilling.
>>
>>106639609
quality, well researched, and well produced videos where genuine effort is put into making sure the video is both entertaining and informative. It's not just a video, it's a movement, a statement, and builds a community around it. Your youtube seeks to improve the lives of it's users, and the world at large and pays a living wage to all of the people that make it happen with full health, dental, and paid vacations and maternity leave. If we are to reinstate the Nazi party we cannot slouch and must make a quality youtube worthy of it.

/biz/fag here, the overpaid jannitorial staff have openly conspired to suppress real alpha threads, promote shitcoins, for years.

>listen to some old song
>video suggestion in the sidebar appears:
>clickbait title about that musician (top 10 people he hated)
>clickbait thumbnail ("...he simply has no talent!"
>AI generated script that doesn't even engage with the title
Rinse and repeat for countless channels.

I've reached the point where I no longer find YouTube interesting, so there's that. And I've been addicted to it for over a decade, having it on my second monitor for 15 hours a day every day.
>>
>>106640017
it's all so tiresome
>>
>>106639609
has the meta ever changed? just put on a cute dress and show your cleavage while doing something nerds like and enjoy your new house next week
you don't even have to be a woman these days to do it
