im tired of people pretending that areo is peak fucking design. in my opinion android 10 is the last good looking version of android and it shows that a modern style can look better than areo by miles.

>>106641486The thing I miss the most of skeumorphism and earlier UIs is how every icon had different shapes and colors, often mimicking real life counterparts. While not as "cohesive" as flat/minimalist icons, it made searching through apps much easier since you could instantly recognize software by their unique icons. Nowadays all icons follow the same round flat design, use the same 2-3 colors and even the OS itself forces them to be monochrome circles.
