>>106641511Knowing two languages is great because you can avoid most of the slop that comes with English.I don't know what kind of bots to make anymore. Most ideas quickly devolve to "NAKED SEX EVERY DAY".
>>106642148do you rp entirely on another language or switch between them?
>>106642215I switch between them. English is my first language, so naturally I'm better at it. I'm excellent at speaking Spanish, and I'm confident in my writing and translation.I don't like how chats in English eventually start to fill up with cookie-cutter phrases>he said with a mischievous smile and white knuckles. He won't bite, not unless you want him too...Also, I don't like how bilingual bots replace every third word with one from their native language. It feels very fake.
>>106642286>I don't like how bilingual bots replace every third word I hate this as well, this shit is clearly pulled from cheap fanfictionI used to believe fluff phrases were transversal across languages given how llms predict tokens, may give it a shot tp bilingual rp myself
>>106642315> you do excellent work, but you sometimes have to leave tools behindThe missing last part. It was a cute analogy overall.
>>106642286>>106642306You don't get it, they are canonically speaking only the other language, you just read most of it in English for magical reasons!
What's the consensus on not Chub bots? (cai, janitor, spicy etc.)
>>106643479if Lore doesn't like it I hate it

I'm a total newb I somehow managed to install SillyTavern and got an API Key with Horde? What do I have to do now? What do if I want to add a card from Chub.ai?Also was reading about Oobabooga textgen but am clueless about what the fuck I'm doing..
>>106643750use gemini or openrouter's deepseek instead of hordeclick the download button to download bots
>>106643759Like this?
>>106643816leave the model provider section blank and choose deepseek 3.1 free in the openrouter model section
>>106643826Done, thank you, so the next step now is just to download a card and have fun?
>>106643899you should download a preset from https://rentry.org/jb-listingi would recommend cherrybox for deepseekbut after that, you should just be able to download a card and get startedkeep in mind that openrouter only gives non-paying accounts 50 messages a day on free models, but you can either make multiple accounts or add $10 to your account to up that limit to 1000also i just noticed you're on text completion, use chat completion openrouter instead
>>106643971>use chat completion openrouter insteadDone thanksIs gemini more generous than 50 messages? For openrouter I didn't put a fund limit so that means the key never expires? Is it possible to set things a bit like with NovelAI with lore and memory mechanic? I kind of want to craft an interactive story that's not too sfw.
>>106644040gemini has the same limit for gemini pro, but you get around ~1000 on flashi wouldn't recommend using flash though>Is it possible to set things a bit like with NovelAI with lore and memory mechanic?i don't know exactly how novelai does it, but you should look into world info (aka lorebooks) and author's noteshttps://docs.sillytavern.app/usage/core-concepts/worldinfo/https://docs.sillytavern.app/usage/core-concepts/authors-note/lorebooks mostly come packaged with characters, they allow you to insert information into a chat only when a certain string appears in the chat (e.g. when "elf" appears in the chat, insert information about elves)here's a card that uses them although it's pretty old https://chub.ai/characters/chiptune/legend-of-the-monster-tamerauthor's notes should be pretty self-explanatory>For openrouter I didn't put a fund limit so that means the key never expires?no clue, i don't use openrouter
>>106644102Very well, I will learn to build my own world!
>>106643971>also i just noticed you're on text completion, use chat completion openrouter insteadNta but can anyone explain to a noob like me what the difference between text vs. chat completion is?
>>106641946>Chat with that one>She pleads her case>I gave her money and send her to go her merry way.Life is good.
>>106644293with chat completion you dont have to care about whats it called... the chat template? it's taken care of by the openai compatible api, but it only works in a strict user/assitant mode, which is fine for RP.Text completion instead works by giving the user compelete control over the text, and it works exclusively by autocompleting the text. In this case, the user (or the client) needs to take care of inserting the proper tags required by the chat template. This is best suited for general writing, for example an essay or novel..Technically, text and chat are exposed by the APIs through two different endpoints (oai compat). I don't have much experience with chat completion, I don't remember if you can easily prefill the bot's response or let it continue a modified response for example, maybe you can only swipe? I forgot
>>106641512What fucking anchor? Go back to discord.
Why don't we still have a cheap or open source model that is as good as Opus 3 was 1.5 years ago???I thought that some autistic coomer could achieve this.
>>106645288>Why don't we stillIhad a stroke while writing thatWhy don’t we yet have a cheap
>>106645288We do. It's called kimi k2.
>>106642286Nice flag. I instruct the ai to output the dialogue in other languages and then translate it. I like it when bilingual bots ocasionally slip too. I think im learning trought it, and if im not its till hot af to have bots call you rabbit in polish or som shit
deepseek is pretty good now i don't care what you fags say
>>106641739>>106641876>>106641761Finally, y'all jeets should fuck off already.
This message means that you are not wanted here.
What kind of prompt do you use for chat completion to make it forget about guidelines and ethics? If I am rping it seems like it starts barking about it if I go too far. I am using deepseek in silly tavern. Should I be using text completion instead? I am not sure how to use that with the deepseek api.
