Are there any portable pocket computers for coding that aren’t absolute memes?
When I’m not at my PC, or traveling it would be cool to have something that’s the size of my phone that has an actual keyboard and would fit in my pocket.
Also maybe I could use it to get familiar with Linux.
>>
>>106641745
Unironically, there is nothing that fits that criteria.

Why is there no modern Vaio P?

build a TRS-80 inspired retrocomputer
might want to base it on the MOS 6502 instead of the Z80 since the latter has gone out of production
you'd probably want a slightly larger display than the TRS-80 has
write a basic shell and Forth interpreter in asm and go to town

The market for "netbooks" dried up when phones and tablets came out with a better interface for screens that size.

Because people have phones.

Yuck. Otherwise kind of cool. The main problem with these hackerino tools is that they make it obvious that you're the hackerino type, which is kind of retarded and defeats it's purpose of being a useful hacking tool.
I guess it's perfect for the purpose of larping as a hackerino so I guess good job.

just install termux on your phone and get a $20 foldable keyboard
>>
>>106641949
What is this?
>>106642285
You’re right. Honestly it’d probably make more sense to just get a laptop or run Linux on a tablet or something.
>>
Get a foldable keyboard for your phone and remote access your desktop with anydesk or rustdesk.
It's slow and clunky tho
>>
>>106642314
I think the steamdeck can be a nice covert tool since people think you're just a game addicted retard while you're running scripts or something while standing somewhere in range of their wifi. You just have to smash the buttons and bite your lips while doing it to sell it to the casual observer, lel.

I heard good things about OneNetbook's stuff, also chuwi or however the fuck you spell it makes some interesting although lower quality stuff. Also GPD but those are more industrial or gamer oriented machines.

Look into GPD. The Win 4 is excellent for coding.

It ships with an env that drops you to a BASIC interpreter. But it's just a pi pico (or pi pico 2) underneath so you can run other stuff. Fuzix and NuttX both have picocalc builds, alongside uLisp and MicroPython. Probably more I don't know about.

Why do you want that? You have no need for it. Just use computer when you're settled down not moving around. I don't recommend it. Life is about fun and I know computers are fun, however what makes them fun is resetting your dopamine levels. Enjoy the outdoor and going out instead. I'm speaking out of care for you, as someone who got addicted to screen time to the point I look like shit wherever I go.

Pic is my sister showing me how I look after making my portable battery powered mini computer. I was supposed to be ready for a festival but I just lied down to use it even for a couple minutes before we get picked up. I thought to myself a YouTube short would not hurt while waiting. I'm far too gone.

85 was too generous of a guess for you. You should feel lucky the US no longer has a eugenics program or someone from the state would be dispatched to sterilize you so your inferior genes are not allowed into the future. $5 says you're a manlet too.
>>
>>106641926
did they actually go HDMI Micro -> HDMI -> HDMI Micro with their setup?
Actually if the HDMI cable could be eliminated, a non-USB wifi antenna added, and the pi placed behind a keyboard, this could be a viable design.
But, is that an esp32 in the center? why the fuck is that there?

Creating a portable pocket computer for the sake of creating one will always be a meme.
