It's truly over. The American dream gets farther and farther away from H1-Bs.
>>
Maybe they can work on that Indian Dream now?
>>
>>106642004
They'll just outsource shit (pun intended) to jeet companies in India instead of bringing jeets to US
>>
>>106642004
Based, I've been really slacking at work. Hopefully this saves me from getting fired.
>>
>>106642004
short term projects will be offshored
long term projects will still get jeets because the total hiring cost over several years will still be cheaper
also I expect this to get cucked in some way, like some exemption lowering the fee
>>
>>106642068
Are in the US? Then bad luck buddy, prepare to be sacked.
This law will save **me** as demand for outsourcing will soar.

t. outsourcer
>>
>>106642004
I'm sure all those programmers and engineers would find good jobs back in India anyways.
>>
>>106642004
The big corpos will eat the cost or just charge it to their new H1-B employees, pay them 200k, make them pay back the 100k in the first year.
>>
>>106642085
Right because they were doing that so much before.
>>
>>106642110
It's 100k a year
>>
>>106642121
Most of H1B salaries didn't exceed 100k which would give them a choice either to bring a jeet to the US and replace you, timmy, or hire offshore. Guess they'll be hiring offshore now and still replacing you.

It's always about money, sorry not sorry.
>>
>>106642004
Remote work.
>>
>>106642085
It will be more than outsourcing, it will building entire departments offshore, cutting out the outsourcers. Although there will also be more outsourcing. Which notoriously goes great.
>>
>>106642144
>100k a year because the restriction expires in 1 year
It would be more correct to say 100k fee for this year, but that doesn't even sound close to win, nor does Sec 5, which basically nulls all of it.
>>
>>106642004
The Indian ceos will move the companies out of the US
>>
>>106642184
b-but that's a good thing, right? we want them out so they put less pressure on the tech job market and stop increasing salaries!

Are H1B's afraid of some competition? Shouldn't we make it as hard as possible for these extraordinary people? On average, they earn double the median wage of Americans and some triple or quadruple. I think the new rules are too lenient.
>>
>>106642184
>loses us government contracts, access to the stock market, us market.

Pretty damn sure the board will replace them if they try. Games is done.
>>
>>106642213
>the board will replace them
that board that is of 80% Indians now?
>>
>>106642157
Anyone not liking this change is obviously not American so I really don't give a shit. Even if it doesn't help Americans it gets rid of jeets.
>>
>>106642213
Ahahahaha everyone laugh at this retard.
>>
>>106642213
The big companies all operate overseas offices, it'll just be an expansion
>>
>>106642234
Nice cope.
>>
>get nice American job
>bank of india will immediately give you a 100k loan since you're now a wealthy pajeet with your fancy American job
Americans on average have a total debt of around 90k so it wouldn't even disadvantage them much.
>>
>>106642256
There's no cope from me, we're literally flushing jeets. The only ones coping are brownoids constantly saying how this won't work or will backfire some how.

the way all these faggot jeets talk about how this will never work, you'd think india would be a super power immediately after this
>>106642303

>>
>>106642033
that's vastly preferable over bringing the smelly streetshitters here
>>
>>106642033
>>106642345
Lol no
Trump is smart. He is imposing tarrifs for IT services so that job stays local. Actually good for him.
>>
>>106642033
This sadly.
>>106642406
Is he now? Can you provide some proof of this?
>>
>>106642004
Honestly with how much big tech has been jerking trump off I'm surprised this has happened
>>
>>106642033
Offshoring to bharat doesn't work for big tech though, or most companies for that matter. Jeets are cost effective when surrounded by white folk to keep the shit in check. Two companies ago we had a team in Bangalore that worked 16h a day but delivered the equivalent of about half a week of work, weekly, and that's without getting into the quality. Significant resources spent on syncing and guiding. But when they were on site they were actually competent and even half of them used deodorant.
>>
>>106642184
>Get out of domestic market, tariffed to hell
The board members will fire the CEO before that happens.
If Indians can't reach the bottom line, they're gone.

>>106642212
They should have harsher vettings for the tech industry. Too many Indians are shouldering their duties onto their coworkers.
Mexican/Pinoy H-1Bs are actually effective, but you won't find Indians in their jobs.
>>
>>106642004
Thank you trump. No more illegals and legal immigrants
>>
>>106642004
I voted for this
>>
>>106642004
They'll start hiring burgers again because it's cheaper. Silicon Valley abused the system and now they're paying for it.
>>
>>106642004
Goal is simple. If they provide actual value to companies, $100K is easy. If they're here just because they're cheap, then the companies are fucked.
>>
>>106642004
Same thing that happend to china and tiktok.

Jack and shit once the grift fee is paid.
>>
>>106642177
When did companies start paying fees and taxes over ringing out every deduction they had to the point it was less than your grandma's?
>>
>>106642004
This is the best thing Trump has ever done. We need this in Europe and especially the UK. Please.
>>
>>106643931
>We need this in Europe and especially the UK. Please.
Just give it up man, it's never been more over.
>>
>>106643956
>my ancestors defended this land for thousands of years
>just give up
lol

No.
>>
>>106643956
Stop seething.
>>
>>106642004
>Trump on Friday insisted that the tech industry would not oppose the move. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said “all big companies” are on board.
Hahaha ... "oppose me, I dare ya, I double dare ya".
>>
big tech's number one enemy is start up
>>
>>106642004
Even though it doesn't apply retro actively it applies if they ever switch jobs. It may well and truly be over
>>
>>106642004
Good. They are like rats. Once you see one Jeet, they bring more.

Truly Disgusting
>>
>>106642020
Maybe they can take their talents and start trillion dollar tech companies in India instead.

Will be struck down by a federal judge. Trump looks good in front of his audience to distract them from the Epstein files while tech company simply wait for the inevitable ruling in their favor. Everyone wins except the goycattle.

the american dream was for americans, not shitskins. as modi for your dream.
>>
>>106642033
at least they're there and not in america
>>
>>106642004
There is already an exemption in place that allows companies to simply kiss the boot and get as many free H1Bs as the administration sees fit.
>>
>>106642004
i can personally give an indian woman an immigration pathway. the cost is licking my asshole and sucking my 36 year old cock.
>>
>>106642004
INSHALLAH THEY BRING BACK THEIR OFFICES IN MILAN, I'm so fucking tired of working with retards
>>
They'll just pay trump his bribe and become exempt. Do you retards not pay attention to anything?
>>
>>106643852
>If they provide actual value to companies, $100K is easy
If that happens they're gonna be pissed to realize they could have been paid an extra 100k salary the whole time. But at that point it'll be too late to ask for the raise and any threats about taking a new job will have lost their validity. Psychological torture trap

What was the point of bringing jeets to America if corpos could just outsource everything to India?
>>
>>106645216
Outsourcing is easier when your HQ is staffed by people who speak the language and know the culture.
>>
>>106645216
you can't exactly outsource a datacenter manager because they have to be physically on the premise to actually do their datacenter job.
>>
>>106642406
It would still be cheaper to outsource even with those tariffs
>>
>>106645216
>What was the point of bringing jeets to America
American streets were too clean
