fake and slow
>>
>>106644273
bananas are good too but an avocado would fit on the image as well
>>
Get rid of the stupid crystals which do absolutely nothing. You also don't need both K&R and SICP since they're competing paradigms, so just pick one or the other.
>>
Vim is bloat compared to Nano.

if this is the real john morris beck I must ask if you've heard of the equally mystically autistic ideology of Less Retarded Technology and Drummyfish's wiki. You two differ on some points but seem mostly on the same wavelength. I dunno, you two are probably the two most autistic /g/ users and I'd be interested to see how you'd interact lol

over the last seven years I've unintentionally become fastman but I still have a lot of work to do.

fastman has always had some meme ideas in there, but that's what makes it based.
>>106644202
I'd recommend some extra stuff
>password manager
pass or tpm are simple ones. Alternatively, use simple passwords like 'libre-fastman-linux2', they are easy to remember but can have high entropy. And maybe write them down on paper.
>display server
You could put xlibre along regular x11 or replace it
>games
If you want to keep those games, at least specify to either pirate them or to get them from gog, to avoid steam. For minecraft you could use the polymc launcher.
>thinkpad
Maybe list some models and their pros? like "x200: small and portable, x400 bigger screen" etc. Overall, I like your fastman.
>>
>>106644202
FASTMAN NEVER DIES
>>
>>106645868
why would having meme ideas make you based?
>>
>>106645868
i appreciate the additions. password managers are essential, agreed. i've heard of xlibre too but never looked into it, what's the 'usecase'?
>steam bad
i'm not much of a gamer but i figured most of these fastmans have minecraft in them and i've played terraria so i'll throw those in there. is steam actually spyware? i've been seing some threads about it
>thinkpad models
i considered adding a general segment that specifies that you likely want good portability and rigidity in a laptop, doesn't really even have to be a thinkpad imo. the X and T series are generally good

>>106645747
doubting the crystals may cause harmful vibrations and energy and may thus be unwise

Because it's fun and you're not supposed to take fastman pics at face value. They have some useful info in there, but they're not meant to be taken 100% seriously, is not like you have to go full Kaczynski just because a meme in a mongolian basket weaving forum told you so.
>>106646608
Xlibre is sort of a successor to x11, it was created due to some problems with the original project. I'd recommend looking at the archives for more info. Steam isn't necessarily "bad", but it's nice to have drm-free copies of your games, and to not depend on a specific platform or service to use/get them. I do like Terraria and Minecraft though, specially modded. Fuck microsoft.

Xlibre guy thought ^ is power operator in C
I wouldn't trust it

literally 0 point learning useless algorithms. Learn your hardware first then learn which algorithms work on it. Compilers and AOCP are both useless as anything but a reference and they are bad references too

cooking is bloat
>>
i love fastman but all your fastman images are utter trash
>>
>>106648693
no. because if you do not cook you end up purchasing things that come with extra ingredients aka bloat. so by cooking you actually minimize bloat. it is a valuable use of your time, and can in fact be very fast if you cook debloated meals with only a few ingredients
>>

You don't need a knife for self-defense purpose, however you need a decent pocket knife or a Swiss Army Knife for utility purpose. The purpose of /fastman/ is to go fast, Leatherman is good but it rusts so easily and is bulky and expensive. Read more at: https://thefastscrolls.neocities.org/
