Robots are technology. Tell me about your robot vacuum and ask any questions you have about them.
Here is the current price. I have it running three days a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat). It vacuums and mops. It docks to a station. The station has a bag, dirty water and clean water.
Here is the map it created. A added the labels for the rooms and the red line at the top so it doesn't hit the floor to ceiling blinds. I also told it to vaccum then mop the kitchen floor and just vacuum the carpet of the dining room and living room.
>>106646541>Tell me about your robot vacuumI have an old Roborock E4. I don't use an app for it, it's on a VLAN with no Internet access, and I ripped the speaker out of it so it can no longer mock the tongue of man.My automation server turns it on when I leave a geofence around my home, and commands it to go back to its dock when I get back into the geofence, so it just cleans whenever I'm out.
If price is no object and I want it to run audited open source software that doesn't phone the manufacturer (I have a self hosted home server for anything it might need), what is the absolute best robovac? It doesn't need to come with FOSS software as long as I can replace it.
>>106647501afaik there's no foss firmware for robovacsYour best bet might be OSH robovac projects, assuming those even exist.
