Are you excited about having a smartphone in front of your eyeballs 24/7?
>>106649019I heard Amazon is making AR glasses for their drivers that feature step by step navigation and shift monitoring.
>>106649019I can't wait to see some faggot wearing these in public so I can take them off his face and break them
>>106649019If it was just a heads up display I could see it being kinda cool, but the cameras make it too spyware-ish. Google glass had the same problem more than 10 years ago but they keep insisting on cameras always being present.
>>106649019I find the idea exciting because it's the sort of sci-fi thing people dreamed of in the past becoming reality. But I'd only buy one if it's an open-source one with wifi kill-switches and stuff. I don't like the thought of anything I see and do being potentially recorded or viewed by Meta/Google/Governments or whatever via the camera.>inb4 "what about other people recording you"I don't like it, but there's not really anything I can do about it. Fortunately I'm mostly a shut-in who doesn't go out in public though.
>>106649483I think it would be cool in a car, showing a map and a line where to go, but generally it seems pointless given most of the function I can look at my phone.
>>106649019Remember how hard boomers pushed surveillance fear into our parents heads over the last 40-50 years? What a timeline we're in now.
>>106650499those flock surveillance cameras are everywhere now
