It's driving me up the goddamn wall that every so-called "alternative" search engine is either STILL barely above AskJeeves tier or directly copying Google's results like Startpage (defeating the point of an alternative by using the same results that we all know are manipulated). Did we all really get so complacent in the existence of Google search that it arrested the development of other engines? And why do people still think they can get away with wholesale proxying Google/Bing (like there's any difference) and think people won't notice?
