It seems the 4chan-X Chrome extension is permanently disable now. I tried running it via tampermonkey, but it kept crashing my chrome due to an apparent memory leak.

Is this it? Is this all we have until someone rewrites 4chan-X for Chrome MV3? Is this the best we can do?
>>
>>106654935
Switch to brave. It's chromium based and also supports V2.
It's probably the only good option. I mean you could use Librewolf/Firefox but it is really lacking behind integrating stuff for the web and the latest privacy drama really fucked them up.

You're welcome. You can add this to 4chan XT Settings > Advanced > Custom CSS field to get a grid gallery view as well, if you don't want to use a separate userscript:

/* gallery grid */

.gal-viewport {
width: 550px;
}
.gal-thumbnails {
width: 1280px;
flex: 0 0 550px;
flex-flow: wrap;
align-content: flex-start;
}
.gal-name {
position: fixed;
left: 25px;
top: 5px;
}
:root.gal-fit-height:not(.gal-pdf):not(.gal-hide-thumbnails) .gal-buttons {
right: 0px !important

>>
>>106656150
This one sort of works:
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/11057-block-youtube-users

But the real answer is the BlockTube extension. The problem is that Firefox store won't approve the update for whatever reason, while the Chrome store approved it days ago. And without it, it's barely functional, as it hasn't been updated in 9 months. And sideloading from GitHub is a real pain on Firefox as you need a specific file format for it (.xml I think?)

I don't know about an individual script, but 4chan XT does have zoom on hover enabled by default. In fact, I had to disable it for the catalog as it was making it difficult to navigate. I should check if there's any way to enable it on key press.

There's also the option of installing an extension like Imagus of course.

function generateIndianName(postInfoElement) {

here the idea on how to improve it, add deterministic RNG, use post No as a seed, so that everyone who uses it sees the same names on each post
>>
>>106657575
i like the idea of "layering" like this, because essentially a userscript is just you putting another website on a website.
so when you add "deterministic" stuff so everyones experience is similar, it's really interesting. then when you add third party authentication, or background data syncing scripts.
then your new website, ontop of the other website, can act like a whole new layer of hidden community.
you see this type of this on youtube with userscripts that show you a different video layer hidden underneath, that the public doesnt have the tool to decode it with.
i don't like that example itself, because it's used for porn, but the idea of a "secret" community layer, where those with the tool can recognize, interact, and share, separately. makes the tech cool
>>
>>106657575
I'm not sure what you mean, I'm not a programmer, but AI suggested this:
const indianMaleNames=["Aarush","Chaitanya","Darshan","Eshan","Gaurav","Harit","Kartik","Lakshya","Sanjay","Niranjan","Pranav","Raghav","Suryansh","Uday","Vansh","Yogesh","Pajeet","Aaravind","Aarav","Vivaan","Aditya","Arjun","Rahul","Karan","Rohan","Krishna","Ishaan","Aniket","Nikhil","Siddharth","Yash","Ravi","Vikram","Patel","Shivansh","Ayaan","Benchod","Samarth","Kunal","Tanmay","Ritesh"];

function generateIndianName(postInfoElement) {
const nameSpan = postInfoElement.querySelector('span.name');
const inputField = postInfoElement.querySelector('input');
nameSpan.innerText = indianMaleNames[inputField.name % indianMaleNames.length];
}

const postInfoElements = document.querySelectorAll('div.postInfo');
postInfoElements.forEach(element => generateIndianName(element));
>>
>>106657840
I had an idea on adding such layer to 4chan, some /vg/ threads are total mess that are unusable 24/7 because of vile shitposters so I was thinking about creating a webserver and a script that would allow you so see those hidden posts inside the thread or post yourself, would make a perfect space for an actual discussion, but I had an experience with trying to sell 3rd party service to anons and it went horribly... no matter how open you are about it you will never beat glowie allegations

Yeah, it's nothing but spam. At least Firefox threads result in anons sharing their about:config changes, userchrome changes, scripts, extensions etc. I tried making threads about Chromium tinkering (at least changing flags, which is the chromium equivalent to about:config preferences) and there were never any constructive replies ever.

I've only ever had that issue with Dark Reader and only on certain boards, mainly /pol/. I'm not sure what's causing it though, but it gets fixed by changing the filter from dynamic to anything else.

If you're sure it's 4chan X related, try switching to XT. It's superior anyway.

Any script to go around Xitter's age restriction? Figured there would be one, because if you click fast enough you can still open the image under it, dont know what jeet code allows this, but its funny.

I'm going to repost some from a past thread, just the ones not mentioned yet.

>Agegate Bypass: self-explanatory, good for when you don't want to log in just to view some hentai slop's Steam page
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/494477-age-gate-bypass-for-epic-games-store-and-steam

>Block YouTube Users: the only working script/extension that I know of after BlockTube & similar extensions stopped being updated, only clientside blocking (doesn't tell YouTube not to recommend the channel, but you can do that beforehand if you're logged in)
https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/11057-block-youtube-users

And a couple to disable Google's safe search and automatic language detection (I couldn't find one that only works for safe search):

https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/527843-google-english-language-no-safesearch

https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/470436-force-google-language-to-browser-s-language-disable-google-safe-search
>>
>>106665923
Also, as other anons pointed out in different threads, BlockTube is getting updates again. But the Firefox store didn't approve them for some reason, while Chrome did. It's probably just a slow process, rather than some error or rule violation.

I don't know, I don't use Xitter. But the simplest solution, as another anon mentioned , is probably to use an alternative frontend. Maybe activate it on Libredirect as well. Or just pick one from here, xcancel is pretty decent: https://status.d420.de/

iOS's popularity in the US is inflated by 13% of the population pathologically making vanity purchases. iPhones, like golden tooth caps, chains, and Yeezy's, are status symbols that one cannot live without. If you deduct that 13% from iOS's American marketshare, then Android becomes much more competitive.

I don't know why somebody on /g/ considers this the ultimate rebuttal.

I don't use an iPad. A Japanese person using an iPad doesn't change my mind about iPads. It seems the Apple fanboy is projecting his own literal worship of Steve Jobs onto other people by assuming that they too must have the same cult-like attachment to this Ukami bloke.

If you're still using the old version, I assume they're fucking it on purpose. The newer version works fine now, but still has that gay timeout issue where if you don't scroll/tab out for more than like 5 minutes you have to refresh the page to see more images.

This is for 4chan XT. Not sure where it's supposed to be added though. Maybe in Fille Formatting (under Advanced settings)? Apparently you can also add this there:

Even if you had such a script that "worked" today, 4chan itself will block your post. You can't have more than 5 quote links in a reply. Watch, here is the max you can do, ever: >>106668313
