The dataset and training config are from https://civitai.com/models/1944129/slop-bounce-wan-22-i2v
What he trained is a T2V version of slop bounce. I don't know if he re-cached latents for T2V but he did change block swap from 10 to 35 from the settings I used to train slop bounce and forgot to change timesteps for T2V. The rest of the training settings were PGC's defaults with some changes like swapping to SDPA from Flash. He used my retarded 256, 512 resolution settings but lowering that to 256, 256 should save on VRAM although testing it right now, I still get an occasional spike to 15GB but a general average barely below 12GB.

You should have some form of caption (training on nothing is bad unless it's just some small amount of dropout per epoch), but you don't need natural language or booru tags.

As long as the style is relatively distinctive the training will notice it as the prevalent pattern, meaning you can get away with just something like 'foo' as the caption, I would suggest using 'foo style' though, since the model understands 'style' and you can piggyback on that to improve learning.

Diffusion-Pipe needs the Chroma model as a .safetensors file, but also either a Flux-dev or Flux-Schnell repo, so in your configuration you need to set:

Weird, you'd think it would work with the official Chroma1-HD repo, but perhaps Diffusion-Pipe needs the specific structure of Flux-dev, Flux-Schnell.

I would suggest using OneTrainer though, if you need to use block swapping with Diffusion-Pipe, you will cut your training time in half by switching to OneTrainer since it's block swap / offloading is MUCH better optimized.

That said if you don't need block swap or if you are using multiple GPUs, Diffusion-Pipe is a good choice.

Veo was trained on a lot of Youtube, which open source can't even begin to match here for quality of data input and it shows, Minimax has commercial video usage but you can't license enough video data to even match. Multi-scene or transformation stuff like this is where most models struggle the hardest to compete. Experimenting with looping the same color block image into itself multiple times at multiple opacities at multiple stages. Does nice things with the color distribution of the final image despite multiple denoise passes.

I agree with the cope for once that the workflows we got for the original wan animate were kind of hurting the output, but at the same time, the model also isn't that good.

1) Start with making a color block image. The particular one I used was pic related, which was generated using a separate workflow
2) Encode color block image, set that as the latent image for the first pass. Use a denoise between 0.65-0.85, depends on the image. It's okay if you don't see every color, as long as you still have general blocks.
3) Before hiresfix, blend the denoised image with the color block image before re-encoding.
4) Denoise a second time at high resolution, between 0.35-0.55 depending on controlnet etc. Optional, add IPAdapter of the same image.

I figured out my main issue with chroma, even with a good lora you still have to worry about style swing, it's fucking mind numbing that the model has a mind of it's own in regards to either texture or style in such a sutle way that it makes lora weighing a fucking chore from seed to seed. I'm trying to figure out why the fuck did this guy train the model in such a way, it just seems wasteful also token bleed heavy in this model to the point you have to add realistic tags to prevent a selfie image from taking a more 3d or realistic approach even with a lora
