It is not a "rolling release", as no release-like quality assurance and integration testing is done on it. Ive been using MX linux for years, over 4.5 years as of now with 2 reinstalls since I got new hardware but I always backed up my home directory each new version. It's my main distro I'll never leave. Just sane defaults, apps and a stable desktop. They know how to maintain an OS and the MX tools are great, It's like if opensuses admin panel was transfered over to debian and is actually good. All linux distro maintainers complain that most of the maintainers are old as fuck and no new blood is coming in, and there's no money to be made in that as linux desktop has failed and the growth in the enterprise/server department doesn't really justify investing into desktop solutions anymore. Debian is dead. It's also a fucking cursed distro, imagine using a distro named by a schizo who names it after his wife who leaves him and then gets raped by cops and commits a suicide.
