good evening saars
good afternoon saars
Good evening saar.Still using as a daily driver.
>>106666107Why use this version of Firefox?
>>106664926its true.i'm seeing so many basic bitch desktops i'd think this was a silent generation book club meeting and they brought their windows laptops that their windows 8.1 acer laptops children bought for them in 2018.its so basic, many of the screenshots have no other customization except the wallpaper.
>>106666107Use case for desktop icon spacing?
>>106666692Nightly is well suited to patrician tastes & is the signature look of success.
>>106666471>getes hacked & zero-dayed.
>>106666752Ricing & using GNU/Linux is a sign of mental illness.
>>106666706Specs?
>>106666819the desktop threads reach 300 all the time.people use it to show off their taste or lack thereof. nothing insane.some people just go the extra step to please the eye of the audience and that is why people even come to these desktop threads.if you're not ricing, then what is the point even of the thread?
seriously, its time that ricing gets recognized as a respectable occupation.ricers should be able to sell their screenshots for income.we need to make quality screenshots a premium so that all this hard work is compensated properly.historically, it has really been quite a thankless job.
The era of desktop customization is over. It's just a part of the life. The current generation of desktop users doesn't want to customize; they want things handed to them ready-made, like fast food. They don't give a fuck how things work (files/dirs); they only want to buy a finished product to consume. And that's fine. We had a lot of fun on Linux computer community forums. We built cool hardware and software, and they have insta/tiktok/steam/youtube slop to consume. They find it fun to not create things. Do you see the cycle of life in it? There's a generation that creates, a generation that consumes, and a generation that destroys. And so it goes, over and over.
>this threadholy shit, /g is officially finished.
>>106666706>>106666107tlauncher is malware
my setup from a couple days ago, bottom right is just a youtube video
I like green
>>106664904hey /g/
>>106666752>>106667029>>106667912ricing died because the gnome foundation strongarmed GTK into what it is now. It is very difficult to find any gtk4 or working libadwaita themes outside from what Mint has done for their own distro with hacking GTK/libadwaita to get their custom themes to work
>>106668099It's insane how good Apple is at UX>>106668163very cute anon, good job
>>106666692blue logo look good>>106666766idk i just removed some useless shortcuts then spaced them out for the screenshot but realized after posting that it looks retarded

Desktop Thread Windows Supremacy Edition
>>106668199Zero creativity. There's no personalization, and no new skills are learned. If you only consume (eat, work, sleep), you will become depressed quickly.
>>106668191Thanks, it’s not quite finished yet. Needs a bit more polishing
>>106668224To be fair, at this point Gnome straight up looks better and more consistent than macOS. Not sure what the hell is even going on over there.
you made me boot up
>>106667029>>106667912>>106668178Ricing is still a thing, just take a look at the unixporn subr*ddit. Ironically, a lot of new Linux users are going directly into Hyprland, or KDE with custom themes.>>106668099Isn't that wallpaper from Gnome? kek>>106667079You're shitposting, but I've seen people do that unironically, selling "ricing" guides that teach you how to make your Ubuntu look like Macos or whatever.
>>106668340>what the hell is even going on over thereliquid ass
>>106668377>Isn't that wallpaper from Gnome? kekIt is, I made it a dynamic wallpaper with the dark and light mode, thanks GNOME. Am using this wallaper on my iPhone and my arch + GNOME desktop, it's all about consistency
Just cleaned my world.

good morning, saars. rate my setup.
Not really sure what to even do with this desktop at this point. Wish something like aerothemeplasma wasn't still a buggy mess.>>106666148Are these characters from something? I recognize them from...content.
