Props to Tanchjim for making nozzles that actually change the sound.
If the Origin is them testing out the nozzle system and new tuning, the Cable X their DSP, and the 4U the shape and bass switch, then the Fission is them refining everything into their best, most versatile set for a very good price.

Also since I am also interested in this tech I tried getting some useful advice from one of the stax posters, as there are quite a lot of reasonably priced older models popping up on country's marketplace. Maybe there are some models worth keeping an eye for, but the best I could get was "haha just go and listen by yourself"
Well thanks a bunch what an amazing advice, sure I am very keen on driving for a few hours to some random dudes house just to test it out if he agrees on that.

No you don't. *shines neuralyzer*

I recommend the 7hz Timeless since you liked the V-shaped tunin' of the bnuy. You might need an amp or a dongle thoughbeit since planars are quite difficult for a bogstandard phone to drive. Then idk buy a cheap figma to hotglue or something. Narmaaya figmas are my go-to.
>>
>>106671545
Truth be told already have a strong V shaped IEM and I wouldn't call the Bunny that. It's a mild V at most. I was considering just getting the Fission as a step up from the Bunny but it might be too similar to justify.

Isn't Timeless pretty ancient at this point? How does it compare to newer planars?

>>
>>106672389
safest is the hype 4, its failure points are well documented and if none of them are there then it's good
tea pro with it's filters and metal shell is definitely a riskier buy.
between both, the tea pro is built much better, but with the used market it'll be hard to choose the correct one.
can't you try both of them at the seller's place? most people i've done deals with are super chill and will let you hang out and demo them, just be open about wanting to try them first
>>
>>106672410
Its a TOP pro not Tea, which is why its a smoking good deal. And no cannot try, its not local to me, unfortunately

There is actually nowhere anywhere near me to try any of these which is why deciding is such ass and poo. I could use Amazon via the Linsoul store for the Hype 4s, but I'm trying to save a bit of money. The only place to get the Top Pros and return them (albeit at full MSRP and with a restocking fee) they are backordered for who the fuck knows how long
>>
>>106672423
if it's top pro, then it is a bit safer although personally i would never buy on the used market if i can't test them out locally
with this amount of money, you are gambling too much on iems that are getting bulky and potentially uncomfortable, and you're double dipping the risk tub by buying used
if you're buying through something like paypal g&s and a credit card, you should be fine in case of defects, the rest is up to you to decide
in terms of sound, they are more similar than different, i wouldn't be able to choose which one is best. hype 4 is a bit more energetic and has more bass while the top pro is more relaxed in the low end while still having the same bright and technical sound as the hype
>>
>>106672461
You make good points and that is why I am hesitant to do any used. At least the open box is from a retailer so if its DOA or dies fast I might not be totally fucked.

I would likely use a CC and PP G&S but its still a LOT to bet that on for an IEM that I may or may not like how it fits.

>in terms of sound, they are more similar than different, i wouldn't be able to choose which one is best
That is really how I came to the conclusion of between those two. Some people love the hype, others love the top pro, but most people agree they are both very good IEMs. Realistically the Top is the next price bracket above the Hype, so that is the major consideration for me. Either one is going to be a million times better than my Z12s, and their metal shell is partly why im not interested in the Tea Pro.

Well I am not in a hurry and the Top Pro is out of stock I might as well ponder for a bit more.

$200-300 in clone gear of things that cost thousands a decade ago to listen to $0 IEMs. Yeap, we're at peak audio. Xi Jinping can fuck my girlfriends. Hail China. In Aliexpress I trust.
>>
>>106672497
if i were in your position, i would probably go for the top pro after asking for a lot of pics and details from the seller
both iems will be in that realistic endgame range, and they're close enough to where i felt like i could eq them blind to be practically the same as one another, i really don't think that they are that technically far apart
at this point you should consider the comfort and the value of the iem in case you want to resell it or flex with it, don't forget the accessories and the looks of the iems too. check out jaytiss, audioamigo, and super*review's videos on them to see how the ergonomics line up
>>
>>106672533
>check out jaytiss, audioamigo, and super*review's videos on them to see how the ergonomics line up
I have looked at most of those apart from audioamigo. I also checked out the DucBloke's EQ vid on at least the Top and its pretty impressive.
>both iems will be in that realistic endgame range
Thats really what I was looking for, buy once cry once for a pair to compliment (or replace) my HD6XXs and give me a bit of fun

I was looking for ~$20 tip recommendations, but there's a bit more to it. I see that the Wan'er SG 2 apparently has good tips, and my Wan'er Studio Edition's cable has some issues despite babying it. The included tips don't seem good for me either, and want to slip or pop out regardless of size.

I kind of want to avoid Tangzu again given the issues, but are the SG 2 a bad purchase, given I need a new cable as well as tips? I haven't seen individually-sold tips and cables that are a reasonable deal compared to a package. Open to ideas.
>>
>>106672791
You boughted the Wankers?
A year ago I had a choice of a Wan'er or the Chu 2. I never regretted that decision. What was your experience with it? Does it sound as good as the hype suggests?

Anyway, if you want a package deal of good cable and tips probably the Dunu Kima 2. Since you poasted mickey I assume you like waifu-on-box too. Which it does.
