I would NEVER recommend them to someone who literally has NO other option and it isn't absolutely necessary.

At the time it pretty much made me more depressed and I had to stop taking them before doctors would allow me to go off them as it was affecting my ability to function, but nuking my brain like that for a while did "fix" the psycosis by "grounding" me in reality, if that makes sense.

I have heard bad things about seroquil as well but have never taken it myself.

Personally find meds and their affect on people very interesting. Blessed that I am not on any and don't feel the need to take any now though! They're awful, but I guess it's my opinion some situations people are in are worse than the drugs effect.
