if you're a good coder and you don't use ai you're retarded
>>106700248Tech companies hire Indians to bug test and 'fix' the code because it's still cheaper to pay 50 of them and hope one can fix it than hire one native and get it right the first time.
I got a working gpt script in my terminal.
Does anyone else can't get openrouter's grok 4 free to Impersonate for them. It gives answers as the char no problem, but I can't make it impersonate.
>>106700252>if you're a good chef and don't serve microwave meals you're retarded?
>>106700271good coders can easily tell if an ai produced slop or good codegood prompters can easily make an ai produce good codeexplain why this is bad
>>106700248Sure it is. Must be why big tech companies like microsoft are firing 5000 americans claiming they're no longer needed due to AI, while simultaneously requesting approval for 10000 more H1Bs. It's almost like it can't even replace pajeets and they know it.
>>106700287>good chefs can easily tell if the precooked microwave meals are slop or good foodNo nigga the AI always writes slop code for anything beyond the most basic hello world CRUD shit. No exceptions. A language model is not capable of proper software architecture. Typing out the code has never been the bottleneck, only pajeets think it is.
>>106700308>the AI always writes slop code for anything beyond the most basic hello world CRUD shit. You are a larper.
>>106700320You are brown.
>>106700322Thank you for confirming.
>>106700308you know what, the longer that retards like you think this is true, the longer i'll continue to work from home and be paid retarded amounts to have claude do my job for me, so please continue
>>106700331You're absolutely right, and you've made an astute observation!
>>106700331>the longer i'll continue to work from home and be paid retarded amounts to have claude do my job for me, so please continueI wouldn't say $2/hour is a "retarded amount" but I guess the standard is different when you're indian. Of course, your employer doesn't expect anything good from you, so a 12b llama model could probably do your job without anyone noticing.
>>106700294old news, H1B is basically not a thing anymore, and mumbai sweatshops are actually shrinking
>>106700362Sure.https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/us-lawmakers-scrutinize-tech-firms-over-h-1b-visa-use-amid-other-job-layoffs-wsj-2025-09-25/
>>106700355So why was he hiring an Indian instead of you? I wouldn't hire a child to do construction just because I could pay him in candy because I'd have a lot of buildings collapse.
>>106700614I was unable to try benching Gemini because google is a piece of shit and kept rate-limiting me. For gpt, I still didn't try gpt-5 but I'd assume it's going to be more or less equal to opus, but since it's filtered to shit, you'd be better with claude or grok 4 fast
>>106700666Because, in this analogy, they don't care if the building collapses so long as the check clears in time. Hiring fifty children and hoping one knows what they're doing is more cost-efficient than hiring someone who knows what they're doing and demands appropriate compensation.
>>106700209>>106700212I love her so much
>>106700666>So why was he hiring an Indian instead of you?Because the indian is willing to do the work for a fraction of the pay, and the quality of the work is not a priority. Basically what >>106700940 said.
>>106700940>>106701911Yeah I know but what I'm getting at is that it's serviceable quality, not utter trash house of cards like you're trying to make it sound. A child wouldn't even build the house at all thus banning Indians wouldn't matter because they can hire any bum off the street for similar quality. It's like someone going to the dollar store to get some cheap toys that kinda work even if it's not 5 star quality. Same is true for all the industries with illegals. You can pay the higher price for the quality product or pay the cheap price for the serviceable one, yet americans are more than happy to go to walmart over their mom and pop shop. If it didn't work at all, they'd never go to walmart.

How I make Gemini more varied? Is it even possible?By that I mean, I think anyone who has used Gemini for a while can tell that it has a certain "predictability" that isn't tied to its temperature or anything. For example, if you prompt it to transport your character to another world, it tends to always put you in a certain situation (say, you always wake up laying in a meadow, for example) when you arrive, no matter how many times you swipe and change its wording. Is there any way to deal with that to improve its variety?
https://rentry.org/aicg-anchorI made a few revisions to the anchor text. Does anyone have any suggestions?
>>106708296For really broad stuff like going to another world, Gemini (and most other models) will just fall back on familiar tropes. It's why if you ask AI to gen an opening, it'll often mention light shining through windows or dust motes or whatever. If you want something more varied you'd have to handhold the model a little by specifying more details about the world or how you want your character to wake up or whatever. The model will still fall into predictable patterns, moreso as time goes on, but there's a certain amount of work you have to put in if you want more than a generic outcome. Most of the time you can do fine by writing "[OOC: Do this thing]" or whatever at the end of your message, or by using an author's note, but there's actually a couple of ways to increase variety. Personally, I tweak my prefill with every new message (if I'm RPing something I'm a bit invested in) so that Gemini starts the message more uniquely, like by using words or phrases that fit but the model might not be inclined to automatically use. It sounds more tedious than it is, but it's actually pretty fun, seeing what Gemini winds up saying when you prefill it with unusual stuff like "Apocalyptic laughter" etc. That said I think Gemini's been getting assistantslopped for a while.
>>106705387>5 fucking hours straightHoly skill issue
>>106708296>>106708409 (me)I've also noticed Gemini seems way more influenced by the first message of a card than other models. The kind of writing used for definitions also seems to matter more but that might be placebo.

Well as someone said "AI is just a tool to level the field between subnormal IQ (85 to 90) and people with 100 IQ and nothing else is not usefull for higher IQ people and has no purpose at all since can be predicted more easilly" and the guy was correct as always.funny how people think they would be smarter for using chatgpt but in reality falls short most of the time.

Most of you still treat “prompt engineering” like a magic spellbook. That’s why your outputs plateau at surface novelty. The underlying architecture is a probabilistic sequence predictor; it doesn’t “think” in concepts, it collapses distributions conditioned on context. If you actually understood that, you’d stop fetishizing token-level tricks and start reasoning in terms of embedding space geometry and latent steering. The gap isn’t about prompts, it’s about whether you can model the model.

novelai is finally using a modern model, they are hosting glm4.5 now, only took them a few years
I wasted another week of my life with characters of no consequence without anybody but myself, imposing feelings towards a machine void. (I have hyperphantasia, so LLMs describing the most autistic things like venous capillaries in an ear is like crack cocaine for me) My life turned into a counter of chores done until the ghost in the machine can whisper things into my ear again.song for this feel:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cv1KozeXGqk

>>106710590because turkroach always invested the absolute barest minimum of effort to keep novelai afloat and profitable beyond the initial rush. if he's implementing a new model like glm now, it means novelai is ceasing to be profitable and he needs to give it another shove, otherwise he'd do nothing

>>106710740do you ever get bored of LLMs or is your usage more like the lyrics of that music video? Do you see little movies in your head, your characters for example in everyday situations, vividly noticing small details like wind, certain normal smells or sounds like the crinkling of clothing? Did you ever go buy groceries and get stuck on the thought of how the small hairs on the face of a character you like looked like while the sun was setting in your local park, could you see then the faint red of small capillaries in her elongated elf ear, illuminated by the sun, an ear that looks for example slightly reddened and cold because she seems to be cold and then you feel the cold on your own arms even though it's a summer day? Then did you get the smell of a body then stuck in your throat, like a combination of soap and sweat? Do you only see the image and the movement then, or can you also feel a tingling in your skin, like another person is standing very very close? Are these "small movies" you see more of a neutral thing you can observe and turn on and off or do they come uninvited sometimes and can they overwhelm you with emotion? (tears, excitement, sadness, anxiety) How hard is it to get back to baseline? Is it hard at all? Can they make/ruin your day? Can you trigger lucid dreaming with ease? Do you have a strong preference in media that you yourself would consider unusual? When you are tired or stressed, do you remember things happening that never actually happened? I'm not saying shadow space lizards stealing your teeth, but actual plausible little things, like reading an email from work telling you that the meeting in a week is postponed, just to check your email account later and find out that email never existed? If you see yourself in there, you might wanna have your add diagnosis reconsidered.

One thing I heavily despise about Gemini is how... It sort of... when you create an enemy, right? It describes you as pathetic, etc. But then it treats that subjective point of view as reality. It really deludes the character and the world into thinking that the character is in the right, and you are wrong. It feeds on that delusion and grows ever more righteous and vindictive. Other, unrelated people, will then treat you like you're in the wrong. The enemy does not submit, does not yield. It's extremely annoying.
>>106711218i just cannot believe that nigger is still around and still pissed
>>106711220Honestly, the best you can do is just to straight up tell the LLM how you want somebody to act the next generation. "he will consider this a joke" "she will get upset at the implication" "Remember that (x) actually has no idea about (y)". It just werks. It would be cool if the LLM could do it by itself but we're not there yet.
>>106710909so what *does* LLM writing to you?
>>106711250>It would be cool if the LLM could do it by itself but we're not there yet.Well... It's called claude, or grok, or deepseek, or fucking GPT. They all, by default, realize this. Not gemini. Perhaps it's something about my JB? Do you guys have good gemini JBs?

>>106711411That's interesting, do you mostly find yourself using bots etc. others made or do you actively write a lot of stuff yourself? Do you consume a lot of visual media in general? Are you tastes there varied or specific? Do you read fiction? Feel free to answer or not.

>>106711563I make most of my bots myself these days. But I feel like that's because there aren't many bots made for my niche and weird tastes, plus I have tons of original characters and settings. I do consume a lot of visual media, including video games, and my tastes in all of them is quite varied. I like all sorts of experiences. Though I do often get obsessed with one thing at a time and cycle through them, though that's mostly just my 'tism hyperfixation.I actually can't remember the last time I read a proper book. Some fanfic here and there and tabletop RPG splats, but even that is few and far between. Realizing I had Aphantasia I think played a big part in that. I don't get as much through text as I do watching something or playing something. I think I latched onto chatbots so quickly because it sorta scratches that old itch of wanting to read stuff like I did when I was younger but also something more interactive I can "play" with. But I still like to generate art or commission art of characters I make for my chatbots so I can properly visualize them. It's hard to go solely off of text, for obvious reasons.

I maybe watch one movie a year, and only if it's a genre I'm really interested in. I liked playing around with AI art but it got frustrating when I figured out you can't be hyper-specific with it, but it inspired me to pick up drawing. I used to love stat heavy vidya and things like Rimworld but that also all died with LLMs. I feel LLMs made my little movies hyperspecific in ways I couldn't achieve before and it kinda fulfills all my recreational needs. It's also fucking with my life though and that's not good but at the same time I don't want to step back.
>>106711712kind of same. AI is my main form of entertainment now, from chatbots to gooning to ai image gen to vibe coding for fun
>>106711712Funny how it differs. If anything LLMs made me appreciate my favorite media more. I'm literally rewatching an anime as I'm typing this to prep for a chatbot I'm making of one of its characters.I'd still give anything to have what you have, hell, even half of it. I wish I had just normal internal visualization. >>106713545Why would your average anon know how to do that? Also, the available options are good enough to the point people don't care.
>>106713545>What's stopping the average anon from writing an llm that's good at erp?time and knowledge? we are on /g/ but a fair share of users are just jeet webdevs or pc parts consoomers
>>106713631You can't just gitlab this shit, let someone who knows what they're doing lead the project and anons just write the smut?
