What's going to happen to all these Win10 users who are too uninformed, lazy, or poor to either enrol for ESU or upgrade to Win11? Is there going to be a massive spike in cyber attacks in the months following October? Over 50% of computers have win10 on them, that's a big pool.
>>
>>106700887
I'm looking forward to all the boomers putting their old pcs out on the curb
>>
>>106702327
Same. I'm expecting people practically giving away computers that are "too old"
>>
>>106700887
people will have to simply keep windows 10 or change to linux simple as that.
seeing how most people just use it for internet and make datasheets or watch videos is easy for them to simply change to linux, the smarter ones will keep windows 10 and add antivirus (one that isn't offered by windows).
change can't be forced, not even with saying "hey you won't be able to play your games on windows 10 unless you update to windows 11" since no one will care that much because most games that force the change are quite bad and online shit dependant on users influx.
>>106702353
it isn't computers are too old is more coders are more lazy and putting bloatware that doesn't work properly due to laziness and nothing else.
>chrome : over 3 GHz multi core CPU, 8 GB ram minimum, GPU 1 GB.

I've already switched to WIN10 ltsc edition and while i do have Linux (an arch meme distro called rebornOS), it's only on my laptop and not my main PC.
>>
>>106700887
Nothing, lol? You niggers already disable all the updates and Windows shitender so your system is already fucking vulnerable. And installing ESU or LGBT ToT version of Windows 10 won't save you from application like Steam saying "in 2 weeks we won't support your system, get fucked lol". In case of LGBT ToT it's even worse since it's running on over base than regular Windows 10 versions and some software is already unsupported.

Nothing will happen. Muh cyber attacks happen regardless of windows version because windows has always been insecure garbage. You'd think a tech board would just know this but apparently boomers and zoomers are equally brain dead

>You niggers already disable all the updates and Windows shitender so your system is already fucking vulnerable

I update once every 2 weeks, but winblows still tries to update 15 times a day, usually whenever I walk away to use the bathroom or something.
Why is it so hard to make an OS that doesn't need to be updated 5 times each day. WTF is wrong with these people?
Do they feign incompetence to ensure job security? Is late stage capitalism to blame and cause for my computer HD going BURRRR every 15 minutes??
>>
>>106704630
MAS does give you an actual license from Microsoft.
>>
I have a family member who just spent $400 on a laptop with an Intel N100, 4GB RAM, and Windows 10 in 2025. You don't understand how the average person uses a computer. You could explain the concept of long term support to them 1000 times and they wouldn't get it. They don't care and they don't know any better.
>>
>>106700887
Nothing's going to happen. Chrome will still be updated for at least a couple of years more.
>inb4 some hacker will telepathically flip-flop my bits
Windows XP SP2 introduced a firewall. No hacker will get into your computer unless you allow them somehow.
>>
>>106700887
Better question, what's going to happen to all those Win11 users where every new update breaks something because Microsofts devs are either too uninformed, lazy, or poor programmers to work on an OS?

Win10 is just a month away from being free of that problem.
>>
>>106707604
Windows 10 IOT LTSC is what's going to happen.
>>
>>106707358
MAS is piracy, and its devs are the first ones to tell you that.

don't get me wrong, i've hated m$ longer than most people on this site have been alive, but anyone can come up with $10 for a legal and legitimate non-pirated product key from them, and there's simply no excuse not to do that unless you're just some angsty 12yo that has to "stick it to the man" somehow every day and enjoys troubleshooting hacky bullshit.
>>
>>106708697
Interesting blog post, however it doesn't change the fact that MAS obtains a license from Microsoft via a free upgrade path they've left open.
Microsoft do not care about selling home user OS licenses, and in fact they implicitly encourage it by leaving such paths open. Embedding themselves in software usage and spreading their ecosystem is much more important to them than license sales, which are a completely negligible source of income to them compared to their server and corporate suite income lines.
If you don't understand that, or you just love paying money for no reason at all, go ahead and pay them. You don't have any way of stopping me from what I'm doing.
>hacky bullshit
I see you do not understand how MAS works.

I remember buying better motherboard for my PC, because they apparently "last forever" , you "just change components". Turns out you have to replace everything after 5 years nowadays, the newer components are built to make everything obsolete fast. They just make those like that to rake in more cash from you, nothing else.

What you see are basically the gamma rays hitting your body like bullets giving a lethal doses of radiation from that Co-60 stick.

>>
>>106704438
i doubt it's real, but the object is real and the effect is real as well, like if someone tried to take a digital photo of one, it would look something like that.
the item depicted is highly radioactive. this means it's emitting high-energy particles in random directions. a camera sensor that close to something like that would be bombarded with high energy particles, exciting them and giving results that look like white pixels (white = high energy reading).

if it is real... that "DROP & RUN" warning stamped into it is not a joke

Nothing will happen because Microsoft will "suddenly" extend EOL for another 2 years, just like they did on the last 5 versions of Windows. One can easily tell that you are a zoomlet who doesn't know about this.
>>
They'll be arrested for terrorism most likely.
>>
>>106714715
It's funny though
>>
>>106700887
the funny thing is that win11 is just as vulnerable to cves and whatnot as win7.
billions go towards patching major holes. there's no point in using patched vectors because it's not profitable, nobody hacks "for the lols" anymore.
as long as your browser is updated and you have some sort of protection (either ms if still supported or an av) you can do banking on win7 and it doesn't really matter.
you'd have to purposely put your machine in danger to get your cc number stolen.

Activators, have worked fine for decades. So do SLIC biosmods and much more.

MSFT benefits from market chumming, which zoomtards don't know goes back to the earliest days of Windows before W95 or Office 97 (which killed other office suites by being de-facto free to copy).

>>106710311
>i'm saying my time is more valuable than the $10

What time? If it takes significant time you're doing it wrong. I simply install Windows and Linux on the target machine or drive while doing other stuff on my main. Then I image any clean install I want handy and future loads use that.

>>106711136
>newer components are built to make everything obsolete fast.

No, they develop more performant parts as always. The only way personal computer components go "obsolete" is for gamers who can afford not to care in order to play their latest time-waster. That takes years which gives time to opportunistically obtain components for the next build.

Given thousands of hours of use even expensive PCs cost little per hour used and as a luxury expense are quite modestly priced.
>>
>>106714837
No OS difficult to use but all gamers should stick to Windows. Linux is better off gatekept so only non-summerfags use it, but troonspergs demand it spread.
>>
>>106700887
nothing will happen just put a good antivirus or change to linux if you don't use games and even there you can use games.
reason windows 7 and older are being removed from support (and companies forced to avoid windows 7/8 support) is quite simple in reality is because it doesn't have backdoors or remote switch or trackers, same reason as linux.
if they attempt to check user
>can't be tracked quickly
>can't access to registries
>can't check software installed
>can't silent install in background
>can't shutdown PC if user isn't legal
>can't check legality of windows.
for companies that's quite bad hence make things look bad like is insecure, is old and so on kinda similar tactic to scare people from using linux with is hard to setup, you can't play games, you don't have software and most run with issues, it doesn't have proper driver support and other lies which are just that lies to avoid people changing to a system that can't be tracked at all or were the user has the control.
for example on windows 10/11 we are seeing the dystopian nugens want.
>if you have an illegal photo you will be visited by police.
>your hdd isn't yours is from microsoft they are free to spy as they want to collect data.
>you can't install GPL software since "will mess the setup"
>if you do something not aproved by microsoft such as piracy we will remove the conflicting app.
and so on.
