The ports are DP 1.4 which tops out at 8K, and you need a DP 2.1 connection for 16K which is something the 50 series cards have, so they need around 4 cards per 16K screen, but not nearly 10 per screen which is what they have here.They probably planned and designed this before those 50 series cards were available.They could have used a shittier 1.4 card though.

I worked on some of the related technology for this. The screen resolution is 16384^2. It doesn't use 150 GPUs. Most of the content is canned video, and when it's not it's nothing too intense. I'm not sure what they're doing with the GPUs, if anything.
