This is a silly math based on stock prices and how many shares there are.Also, Apple is put in a very difficult position where shareholders are always expected to receive more, so they are forced to create some sort of infinite growth (anyone who is not stupid knows there is no such thing), so they cut costs, and sometimes... they even get creative with their earning reports...As a matter of fact, the shareholders EXPECT Apple to cheat them with suspiciously higher earning reports because that means they make money, and this money needs to come from somewhere.Some companies, when things start to go bad, start to "restructure", which means they start to sell stuff they own so they can pay dividends from profits they did not have, so more people feel safe buying their stocks. Obviously this is not the Apple case because they probably are turning a good profit, but you would be surprised how many tech companies do this.Another way to make money is literally begging the government.>why would the goverment invest in a bankrupt tech company?Well, because the people who approve it can turn a massive profit because they know that when a company receives money from the government, their stocks fly to the sky. This was the case with NVIDIA. Many politicians started buying NVIDIA stocks before the CHIPS Act and made a massive profit with insider trading.
