Everyone had a Motorola phone when I was in high school and then they just more or less disappeared after the iPhone came out. The obvious answer to the question is the iPhone happened and that's what went wrong but there absolutely has to be more to the story. Why couldn't motorola keep up? They had massive brand recognition (arguably more than, but objectively on par with apple at the time), top selling phones with the razr product line, and the market cornered on two way radio communications and now you just don't really see them anywhere. Was it mismanagement? Bad products?
>>106709310the new razrs with foldable screens are decent their first one i had the screen broke after a couple of years (granted i work in a dusty dirty environment) but the phone literaly still works and lives in my car as a spotify brick
>>106709310>what went wrong?nothing. >and the market cornered on two way radio communicationsstill one of the largest suppliers and manufacturers in the world.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorola_Solutions?useskin=vectornext time when you're going to create a thread based on schizophrenia, at least try a little harder than this, sandeep pooindahand.
>>106710221lol>>106709310I've been using nothing but Moto since 2016. As long as they have a decent phone with a dedicated microSD slot and 3.5mm plug I'll keep on getting one.
>>106709310I have motorola and I love it>t. posted from motorola
I'm posting this on a motorola phone, i love pure android. I'm on android 14 btw.
>>106709310product says moto is black maybe with matte accents was in darker bond movie and story goes on specs are good but userbase be carpeopleiphone maybe champagne color or peach color business front might carry iphone
>>106709310Terrible software support. I have an Edge 40 and they finally delivered Android 15 to it a couple of weeks ago after almost a year, yet it's still a buggy mess. My widgets now randomly stop updating or just plain break entirely and won't work again until I reboot. The temperature reading on the lock screen doesn't work and you can't turn it off. Half the OS was in one Android color scheme and half in another post-update until I selected a new theme entirely. The UI also feels more sluggish than it did before and they've added a retarded fade effect to the lock screen, which again you can't turn off. This is all on top of security updates being slow and irregular throughout the time I've had the phone.I really like the hardware. I wanted something as similar as possible to the Galaxy S8 it was replacing and it fills that role nicely (even with the shitty camera bump that all phones must now have). The software support has completely put me off buying another Motorola though. I'll probably just get a Pixel or maybe even an iPhone next time I upgrade. Given that Jewgle plan to lock Android down anyway, I may as well suck the Apple cock.
>>106709310Why do none of their new phones have USB3?
>>106711566They're Lenovo's budget brand
Z2 Force was my favorite. Or the moto razr.
they coming back recently
>>106709310They are still here but they don't really attempt to compete with anything. I suppose they are great if you need a solid, no-nonsense phone that is just doing phone shit, which is pretty based, considering overall direction of the market.
NothingGreat budget phones
>>106709310They're still around, they just don't really make flashy phones aside from the new Razrs. I've had iPhones and Samsungs since switching and I don't think those ever came close to how reliable those old G models were. Thinking of going back once my current one shits the bed.
Very simple.Motorola was king of android flagships during the golden era of android. Moto G, X, Nexus 6 were the phones to have. Then as the modern age of consumerism came in and brand recognition began to mean more than the actual device and it's specs, Motorola, LG, HTC, etc simply couldn't compete with Samsung and Apple. When people think of a smartphone you think of the big two. Motorola still makes phones, even some of those other heyday companies do but they focus on targeting poorfags who can't afford brand recognition.>posted from my s25u
