Even the cheap Motorolas are getting rid of it now, at least here in burgerstan. In fact I think the only phones from my carrier that have FM are TCL junk.

My friend from Brazil told me it's still relatively common in phones over there, which I find confusing since in America we use FM all the time while driving. Granted, streaming and things like Bluetooth audio have replaced a lot of FM's utility, but still.

>why doesn't my modern car have an 8track
we have a thread for really really stupid questions

music phones have it
you want kicker bass for those tunes look for 3 to 3,5" fullranges with excursion
>>

My 2024 Moto G Stylus has it. FM Radio is built into I believe almost every Qualcomm SoC, so it's been at least possible on every cell with a headphone jack. I presume Motorola's switch to Mediatek is why they don't have it anymore.

Radio is timeless

>>106731936
No use case when music streaming exists.

>deadzone blocks your path
Also it sounds counterintuitive but having the freedom of choice removed is very freeing. I've discovered so much music through radio that I wouldn't have had I been streaming instead. Without choice you listen to what you can instead of the same shit again and again
>>
>>106731936
The jews don't like it because it's free.

>deadzone blocks your path
It's a cellular telephone. Why are you using it in a place without a cellular signal?
>Also it sounds counterintuitive but having the freedom of choice removed is very freeing.
If you like listening to the same 5 songs over and over again interspersed between hour-long commercial blocks, good in you. Buy a radio.

Are you retarded?
>If you like listening to the same 5 songs over and over again interspersed between hour-long commercial blocks, good in you.
I don't know what shit radio stations you're thinking of but most people who listen to radio don't have that issue
>>
>>106732136
Either you live somewhere with shit cellular infrastructure that has a lot of dead zones or you live in a major metro with good radio stations. It's one of the other. There is nowhere that has both.
>>
>>106732157
I actually go places. You'd be surprised how sparse cell infrastructure actually is. There are deadzones all over once you leave the city

I like taking my phone/radio to football/baseball games so I can listen to the play-by-play while I watch. Streaming is no good because of the delay between the live action and the audio.
>>
>>106732171
>I actually go places.
Why don't you goooo to the store and buy a radio?
>>
>>106732197
I have several. Doesn't mean I don't want my jack of all trades pocket device to have one too
>>
>>106731936
because you will own nothing and be happy. Letting goyim have free access to music without needing data and letting them legally record it is not jew approved.
>>
It's dumb I have to use the CSPAN app to listen to CSPAN radio on my smartphone

Radio is full of ads, pass

So buy a button phone with FM radio and take it with you when you go to the game
>>
>>106731936
They still exist in international phone models, only north american models have it disabled.
>>
>>106732311
get the stream url and listen to it with vlc
>>
>>106731936
I actually tried to listen to the radio for nostalgia's sake but I soon remembered why everyone stopped listening to the radio in the first place. It's 90% unskippable ads, 7% political "commentary", 3% music playing the same music on repeat. Radio is just shit. Technically cool invention but it was enshittified long before the term was even invented.
>>
>>106734735
The music is even sped up (with higher pitch) to cram more ad time.
>>
There isn't a single station that's worth listening to here
>>
Somebody at work just bought a pocket AM/FM radio because none of the smartphones he liked came with FM Radio, so I guess OP is right.

I listen to FM traffic stations at home every morning before going to work, but the only time I have used the FM radio in my current phone is when there was a massive blackout and I had no idea what the fuck was going on.
>>
>>106731936
They want you to pay for data.
>>106732081
Like this retard.
>>
>>106731936
if you REALLY need it, get a USB-OTG adaptor and plug in a SDR dongle and boot up an SDR app

>They want you to pay for data.
Using cellular data on my cellular telephone. God forbid.
