LG effectively took Android with it when it exited mobile.

Samsung locked everything down, so no more ROMming.

Motorola has long been Lenovated, producing only generics now.

What is left? Pixels? They're as shit as they and their Nexus predecessors have always been. Google sucks at hardware in a uniquely weird way. No one is as shitty at hardware as Google is.
