Brave search is decent. Self hosted searxng is probably as good as it gets if you are concerned about privacy

DDG was nice at first because it was simple with no in your face bs.Now they have dumb defaults like ads, infinite scroll turned off, AI answers, and generally more dumb shit that makes private browsing worse. Also all the Bing censorship and results filtering which is now really bad.
