If it's below version 20 the controller will slowly kill its flash chip making the port useless, and in this model, preventing the laptop from charging at all.

Just gone back from my t480 with a nice 1080p IPS screen and SSD to X230 with 1366 TN panel and HDD - holy shit this screen is horrible, and HDDs are so slow. Not sure the x230 has many redeeming features other than a slightly better keyboard and some of the function keys desu senpai
