>Do they last more than two years?
I've had 3 phones in the last 6 years and all still work. As for quality there are two locations for manufacturing, China and India. The Indian phones are dog shit quality but seems to be only sold domestically in India. The domestic Chinese models are lower quality than the global/EU models. The Poco F7 Pro would be my call, just never buy a Xiaomi phone at full price, they always have sales on and stacking discount codes. You can easily get 30-50% off MSRP if you wait a while. You will need to use ADB to remove a bunch of pre installed bloatware.

I can't believe Google is just going to kill sideloading

>There is no way they will allow apps like Newpipe or Revanced to continue existing
>F-Droid already announced they will stop the project once the dev registration goes live

Android will become so much worse starting in 2027. Where do we even go from here?
>>

Of you want Graphene on a tablet your only optional are the Pixel Tablet or something close to the form factor such as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. There are a lot of official and unofficial LineageOS builds for many tablets for OEMs such as Samsung, OnePlus and Amazon Fire tablets. There's even an official build for the Nintendo Switch 1.
>>
>>106758195
FFS! You will still be able to install any unsigned software using ADB. Google have confirmed this.

If they found a reason to get rid of Fdroid, they will find a reason to get rid of ADB, and they will find a reason to get rid of whatever replaces ADB. It will never end. If the local sheriff declared you can't swim in a pool on Mondays, why wouldn't he expand to the other days of the week? He has already set a precedent that he gets to dictate when you swim in a pool. The particular days are arbitrary. Google's current allowable means of installing unsigned applications are arbitrary. They are saying that, ultimately, they get to decide for you, and when they think ADB is a problem, they will end that too.

Jokes aside i've tried using gesture navigation and it just sucks, it's just inferior to the buttons.

iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max niggas, what's the rundown on using cases like the ones in picrel that cover parts of the camera plateau?
Will it negatively impact the phone by doing things like causing heating issues, interfering with reception (antenna is wrapped around the plateau), or funneling and collecting lint and dust onto the most sensitive parts of the camera lenses?

Gesture nav is infinitely better than button nav. I've also never seen anyone younger than 60 using button nav.

got a pixel 9a this summer, I really like it and feels way better than my older phone that I had for about 5 years. Thing is, I'm thinking of downgrading simply because I think the 9a is too big.
How is the iphone experience, anons? I've never had one (though I do have a mac). All I want is a phone to call and text with, listen to local music files and online podcasts with and maybe check the calendar or some basic bs. I really don't need anything else.

Might pick up the 13 mini. Is there any anon out there that can tell me if the battery will get me through the day?

ive been using samsung s23 since it came out and im happy with it. today i used coworkers new iphone 17 for something and i was really impressed with it. display is head and sholders above mine, it feels so much smoother even tho both are 120hz and i always loved how ios animations are compared to android

i was under the impression that my s23 was still top tier phone and that flagships have kinda plateaued and that we are only getting small upgrades with every new iteration. obviously i was wrong. talk me out of upgrading to 17, i was happy with s23 and didnt even consider upgrading until i tried it and saw how much better it is.

>>106760428
>no heating or reception issues (so far)
That's good to hear. Should I go with the case on the left or the right? I'm torn between the two.
The left one has more layers of protective padding and elevates the camera lenses so they won't directly touch surfaces, but is undoubtedly beefier and a bigger hassle to wrangle out of pockets.
The right one thoroughly covers the entirety of the plateau and is thinner, but I don't know how that translates into phone body protection and whether or not lint will collect directly on the lenses.

Traded in my Pixel 7a for this Motorola and got it basically for free. I like it so far, 720p isn't amazing but battery life is fantastic as a result. Even after disabling the RAM boost bullshit 4GB is fine for stock Android desu. I've had it for a day now, charged it last night and now I have 75% battery at 3 PM. The Pixel barely made it to evening even when it was new, not sure why. Are Tensor chips really THAT bad/power hungry? This thing doesn't get warm at all either.
>>
With nova launcher dead, whats the /g/ approved android launcher of choice? No KISS please.
>>
>>106760983
pixels suck
>flagship price
>low to mid end hardware
>poor build quality
>small battery
>inefficient and weak chip
>very heavy andorid skin contrary to the popular belief
main problems are small battery and bad chip, but what really kills the pixel is ridiculous number of google excluaive services that are running 24/7 and are supposed to improve the android experience you get on proper flagships. google are just trying to save a buck by substituting hardware with software, but it doesnt really work in real life use.

owner of a 12 mini here, the battery is not that great desu and it might not last you through the day on one charge.

It does feel very comfy in your hand so if you could get more than one charger, one for home and one to leave at work on your area you'd be more than set.
