In the GDPR's eyes, a message you send to another person is considered their private data as well, like sending a letter or an e-mail. So they're not bound by law to delete those messages. They may do it if they're nice, but there's no legal requirement for that.

Anons talking about stuff they've never done. Discord does comply to GDPR requests. You just have to do it the right way first requesting your data package and then sending a messages.csv file (there's something on github to do it for you just look it up). Sometimes they'll try to redirect you to some pages on how to delete your account, etc. but if you reply with a message like the following then they delete it all in 24h:
