basically it works like this. the first frame is your reference but then edit it. all frames and reference frame must be resized and padded with white so they all fit. There is a number of math nodes that need to be used and it fucking pisses me off comfyanon has not created math nodes for us to use in native FFS MAN!

but you need to calculate correctly, standard chunk is 77 frames but the ksampler will put out 81 frames if you set the continue motion frames to 5 frames, so would be 77 frames + 5 then minus the reference frame = 81 then you need to drop the first 5 frames which gives you 76 frames and those goto the combine video and also a combine image batch node. also the very last frame must be captured and sent in as the next reference frame for the second ksampler and the second clip vision node. This process repeats, math nodes are needed for it to work. people are doing it wrong or someone is not giving you a proper workflow.

i posted a native workflow here but it was almost fatally flawed because i kept using the first reference image and not last frame and also i got my indexing wrong.

why didn't comfyanon simplify it? because its not meant to work like that, its not animate diff, you are meant to be able to give each sampler a different prompt or lora. You're not meant to use the same reference image for each sampler either. This increases gen time due to new clip vision and or prompt/clip.

wananimate is the most powerful tool i have ever used to date.

understand the limitations of each model, learn to workaround them. Each model is good at one thing, that includes lora but understand lora can be bad in pushing towards its dataset, consider lower strength for some lora's. For wan 2.2, its sometimes beneficial to use only the low noise lora for both high noise and low noise samplers if the intent was to mainly only get the general effect and composition but not the motion.

there are things like euler_ancestral_cfg_pp and skimmed cfg nodes pre_cfg nodes and using much higher cfg to generate/force the concept, then use that for second phase in controlnet with normal default model to fix the shit. I use ultimate sd upscale node for second stage and thrid stage but i do not use tiled, i set tile size the 1024 x 1024 the same size as the image input. Then its 50% controlnet and 1.00 (100%) defnoise, i let the controlnet and the upscale model to the work. That then goes into the second upscale node for the third phase at 80% controlnet fed the previous image at 2.00 upscale with tile size 2048 x 2048, that is the real upscale.

lora's for things like skin texture and colour can be used in the first upscale node.
