I can't be the only one who goes "Figma balls" in their head whenever they encounter the name.
>>
>>106762389
Because Adobabe pushed their luck.
>>
>>106762389
Cause they're cute anime figures
>>
>>106762389
Because it works?
>>
>>106762447
Surely there has to be other software that works well enough
>>106762426
Then why aren't there hardline competitors for every Adobe product right now

I feel like would enjoy a series of conversations on these tech industry non-tech tools that got big .

never used Figma though. just know about its existence. I was an SRE until getting laid off
>>
>>106762408
I accidentally called it ligma at work for the longest time.
>>
>>106762389
What's figma?
>>
>>106762389
It's cheap and amazingly powerful. I used it to create a clickable prototype which fooled some rich gen X faggots into giving me money for a start up.
>>106762826
Pretty much this but it's nice to be able to spell out exactly how you want your UX to look and sketch sucks balls.
>>106764146
A UX design tool.
>>
I had to use this for a uni project and it was fucking horrible. I'm sitting there fighting against its retarded dragondrop UI and thinking "I could just have AI make this in Vue from sketched wireframes in 15 seconds"
What's the point, even for non-technicals?
>>
>>106764146
a good smile figure series
>>
figma balls lol
>>
>>106762389
Its only good for ui/ux design. Outside of ui design, framework, prototyping, alladatshit, I cant imagine people using figma for anything else

I think Figma is just overused and underdone.
Most UI is simple and doesn't need Figma.
Shitty BAs making a slopped together Figma without precision just wastes time since now the devs have to clarify if a mistake is real or not or worse the QA thinks it's a mistake when a dev didn't and now has to clarify with the BA which goes back to the devs on small things such as capitalisation, inconsistent punctuation.
I'm unsure if it does well on more complicated UI since I've never put anything that wasn't slop together in my short career.
I feel like someone who would give you a more complicated ui should have at least some sort of 2d artist skills.
