Adblocking. IS. Piracy.

Stop using adblock chud,

Oh you're a poor wagie who makes $12/hr at a shit job with a horrible life and just want to watch entertainment to distract from your shit life? Well it doesn't matter because the youtube multmillionaires who barely put in less than 2 hours of work a day on videos need YOU to turn it off so they can make more money.

You're stealing from them, plain and simple.

if no one clicks and buys, advertisers won't sponsor on Youtube anymore
no more ads, no more money, no more platform, no more content
so buy at least $15 per month of stuff via Youtube ads, thank you.

Piracy is two things. Seaside maraudering and illegal acquisition of copyrighted intellectual property. There is nothing illegal about ad blocking. There just isn't.
Come back when it's written crystal clear in the law that eulas override basic human right for privacy and self defence against harrasment

Blocking ads is to piracy as serving ads that take precious time from existence on this mortal plane, is to murder.
>>
>>106763069
It is not theft because you are not subtracting anything. Also it's not piracy because you are not making illegal copies. You are just choosing not to see intrusive advertising pushed onto your screen. That is the same as not buying something advertised on youtube because you find it annoying.

"We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem, if a pirate offers a product anywhere in the world, 24 x 7, purchasable from the convenience of your personal computer, and the legal provider says the product is region-locked, will come to your country 3 months after the US release, and can only be purchased at a brick and mortar store, then the pirate's service is more valuable."

So you're just trying to troll Linus, yeah? That post was made 3 years ago, I am sure he would recant his stance if properly confronted.

The truth is: within an optimized capitalist civilization, data should never be free. Beings put in very hard work to collect and collate that data, so why should you be able to access it for free? You're most likely too retarded to fabricate the same quality of data within a reasonable frame of time, so you should be barred from accessing that data until you pay the appropriate fee. The fee is the energy(money) you're willing to trade in order to access that data(purified energy). Let us say you wish to pirate a gaynime like the faggot you likely are. If you were sufficiently creative, you would be capable of transforming your energy(money) into artistry(purified energy) all by yourself. But you're not. You're most likely nowhere near capable of turning your energy into purified energy.

The real problem is the advertising agencies. A parasitical complex of middlemen that have perfectly situated themselves inbetween this (previously)unsolvable conflict, yet the hilarious solution is their total annihilation. Once the middle man parasite that are all the advertisers of earth are entirely obliterated, artists will be able to fully reap their completely justified wealth. This is the age of relatively instantaneous data transfer for your civilization. Anyone can inform anyone of anything. There was a need for advertisers 1800s-1900s. In 2000s? Your best friends are your advertisers. Realize the insanity of paying even a single cent to these parasites and then the adblockers will go extinct. Artists that do not get paid do not output work. So they will be paid, if their work is what you truly desire. Likely far, far more than what they currently are.

Why Linus couldn't simply explain this? Idk

What do you mean "atleast $15"?
What about the poor advertisers who have such a genuinely shit product that nobody would buy it even if people were forced to buy shit? Do you want your poor "content creators" to lose their platform patronage?

You will buy everything. Actually, you will buy everything in atleast the amount they pay us for.

They pay us to get you to buy two, you buy two. Got it?

Fuck you, subhuman.

OP is shit stirring. Linus also said he doesn't care if you want to pirate. He pirates too. Also, LMG has diversified to making clothes, screwdrivers, backpacks and soon USB cables. Their side business now bring in more money than ads. They also even made a video platform from scratch.
>>
>>106763069
Add blocking would only be piracy if on a regular basis the ads actually influenced you to purchase an item after you clicked on them and learned more about the item. Be real with yourself, when was the last time you were sitting down watching television and saw a Colgate toothpaste ad and were like "wow 9 out of 10 dentists recommend Colgate? I better get some Colgate". It's never happened. Not even once. Therefore, you are not depriving anyone of any income by simply hiding the ads.
