>Programmers are building AI tools to replace coding positions
>is...is that a LIGHTER?! won't someone think of the poor firemakers!?>is....is that a CAMERA?! won't someone think of the poor portrait painters!?>is....is that a COMPUTER?! won't someone think of the poor mathematicians!?Technology will eat your job, and your life will be better because of it because you can go focus on more difficult problems that make life on earth even better. Those who think they can just pick 1 job and do that for their entire life are fools.
>>106767857>he replaced millions>for what>to charge millionsstory as old as time
>>106767857It’s mainly an issue for entry level. Senior Devs will be fine
and coders are building tools that require programmers to fixI'm sure mechanics saw a boon when more people learned to drive
>>106767875AI is not a “narrow” automation that impacts one type of task in one type of job. By definition AI is “generic” automation. It’s automation of automation itself. It’s not comparable to past innovations where one task is impacted and ends up creating new types of work for the old ones it replaced. The whole point is it would be able to automate work itself.
>>106768278then you're talking about some kind of fictional AI that doesn't exist, not the machine learning shit we have now. And that's fine but it's sci-fi, not technology
You are competing with other humans, not the AI.
