Rhythmbox sort of "scans" your music directory and creates a map, so when you browse your music, you don't have to scan everything again, even after restarting your computer. With Strawberry, it also scanned, but every time I opened and closed the program, it scanned everything again, which worries me since my music directories are basically two 8TB HDDs each. So imagine waiting minutes (or even hours) for Strawberry to scan everything EVERY TIME I open it. I don't know if it was a setting I needed to adjust, but it really bothered me. I don't feel comfortable reading/writing to 16TB every fucking day; the HD's lifespan goes to hell that way.Anyway, I'd go back to Strawberry if there was a way to fix this, to make it work like Rhythmbox. I like browsing songs by album art, especially since I have a lot of albums in Japanese, Chinese, and other languages that aren't written in Latin alphabet, so manually typing the album title is horrible in Rhythmbox. At least in Strawberry, I could see the album art and recognize it.
