Word on the street is that NPUs are a dead concept. IGPs are way more powerful, less power efficient, but these meme workloads like "AI photo editing" are accomplished so fast that the net power usage doesn't really matter to battery life. Microsoft themselves is allegedly dropping the NPU TOPs requirements that they themselves created for laptops to be branded as AI PCs because a robust IGP does it better
