Based. I still use the speaker that was originally in my build from 2010. It's actually pretty useful with my AM5 board because it lets me know when it posts (short beep) or when the bios is fucked and needs to be reset again (long beep).

The irony is there were a LOT of programs that broke in the 386 (and even the 486) days when that much memory was available.
A cheap and nasty trick was to use the /INT15 switch on HIMEM.SYS to ignore parts of extended memory. Of course, if your program actually did use Int15h to access extended memory (not a lot did, thankfully), it still didn't help.
