i dont use teams but if you need it for work it makes sense. there are a few actually useful things in the windows store. everything else you called out is normal and you're being a fag by nitpicking

how often are you opening the windows store that you need it on the taskbar?

You need to move on, old man.
This is like still printing out everything or watching cable TV in 2025.

I don't. My MPC-HC setup with MadVR had degraded to a point where certain subtitle and video configurations could in rare cases crash the player or produce artifacts years ago and it was way too much effort to fix and maintain it.
Don't know if it would have even been possible to make it perfect again, since I didn't try.

>MadVR
Just use MPCVR these days. Maybe on day we'll get some good hlsl filters (debanding, judder, etc) that can compete with MadVR but for now its good enough.
>>
>>106774134
The UI feels SK weird though.
Does PotPlayer even handle anything better than MPC-HC? Can't imagine so, chances are you're just using the same filters and VR but some Korean UI.
>>
>>106778401
It's too late now, since I use Linux and MPC-HC is Windows software. I just made the switch to MPV on Windows years ago. I also think it's a bit too hard to setup and maintain MPCHC compared to MPV, it wasn't a big deal back when I first started using it since it was so much better than anything else but I don't think there are that many advantages today.
>>
>>106778536
If you can get the MPV ui to work for you then its probably the better player.
>glsl filters out the ass

In what way? These days MPC-HC comes bundled with LAV Filters and MPCVR so you dont even need to bother with packs like K-Lite.
>>
>>106778615
Well, keep in mind my knowledge is from years ago and based on setting it up with external filters and MadVR. With MPV all I have to do is paste my config file in the config folder and add UOSC scripts and thumbfast.lua in the same folder under /scripts/. That sets everything up as I want it.
>>
>>106778663
Yeah that's easily the best part of MPV
>inb4 export/import MPC-HC settings
Does thumbfast have proper HDR support these days?
Guess not. Why is it so hard for anyone to properly support HDR previews??
>>
>>106778753
Probably because the support infrastructure just isn't there to make it work fast and correct. HDR is very poorly supported by most software and libraries right now. Specially on Linux which only recently got HDR support at all.
