i will wait for the rtx 6000, current 5000 cards are overpriced garbage with low vram

I'll wait for the 5080 superI don't really even need it, but I might as well. My 2070 super is starting to show its age on the few occasions I do game
>>106777012>rtx 60005% performance increase, 10% price increaseLRN2BUSINESS
>>106777012>He is waiting for rtx6090 with 2% more performance for 5000$ + tipxDDDDDD
>>106777363>>106777377i don't care about the performance, i want more vramcheap 5000 cards have 8gb fucking ridiculous
>>106777538>too poor for the 5070ti, 5080 or 5090Thank God I'm white and rich
i wait for some affordable new gpu tech made specifically for AI generation. no way no one does this
why won't you buy red?
>>106777615Cheap and trash
>>106777593>5070ti, 508012gb and 16gb is still too low>5090not buying this shit for current ai slop models, they'll get better next year and waitchads will win
>>106777663>waitchadsWaitpoors suffering their garbage setup and getting hit by a truck when theyre about to upgrade while I play everything on ultra 160+ fps lel
>>106777663It wont get better, its highly likely the RTX 6090 that will release in early 2027 will either be the same 32GB VRAM or perhaps 36GB. There is NO incentive for Nvidia to keep pumping up the VRAM on consumer gaming cards beyond 32GB at this time. You wanna play with AI models? Great, Nvidia has you covered with the $4500 RTX PRO 5000 48GB or the $7200 RTX PRO 6000 96GB. VRAM is pay to play, you are not winning by waiting and not buying a 5090, Nvidia will NOT cannibalize its commercial market.
>>106778608so if the most powerful has 96GB vram and the 5090 has 32GB does that mean you get 300% fps increase?
>>106778797The RTX 6000 PRO is a binned top tier 5090 chip with all cores enabled, they manage a 10-15% FPS gain over a 5090 due to the extra cores and top tier silicon. They also have a 600 watt power envelope. But they do sell a Max-q version that is 300 watts and performs about equal with a 5090, again, thanks to its top tier silicon and being heavily undervolted. You can get way more than a 300% gain in VRAM limited applications like Wan2.2 video generation or other AI work. Like WAYYYYYYY more. VRAM is everything, once you start paging out to system RAM where bandwidth is 1/20th of the GPUs VRAM, you're cooked.
>>106778521>gaymin>>>/v/
>>106778859okay but for video games?if you get 100fps with max settings with a 5090 would you get 300fps or more with the 96GB card?
>>106778879I already told you its a 10-15% improvement, but you'd either be retarded or a Saudi Prince if you were spending almost $8000 on an RTX 6000 Pro to play "muh vidya games" vs $1999 for a RTX 5090 that will perform within 10-15%. The Pro 6000 is only for AI work.
>>106778981>to play "muh vidya games"what's with the quotes
>low VRAM5090 is right there. 32GB. Nobody offers more.RTX 6000 PRO is right there too. 96GB. Nobody offers more. You can keep saving up if you want, prices are never going to be lower
Amd won.
>>106782182no lol
>>106782182>>106782215You silly boys! :3
>>106781967why are you considering the pro for games at alljust stop being dumb
>>106777084yes, you future proof with future hardware
>>106777012you will regret not buying blacked well once you see the prices of the 6000s
why doesn't amd just release their own mid-tier gpu with 32-48gb of gddr7 vram and steal a good chunk of the market?
