Do you think the NSA has achieved superintelligence?
>>106778603>carmack needs one supercomputer to match the smarts of one dudelol ngmi
>>106778603it would explain why they seem to be making a lot of callous miscalculations in letting the weimer degeneracy cycle repeat. which doesnt make sense because of their nested deep rooted power structures, unless they had some magic bullet they were extremely confident in and now theyre basically bored waiting to use it.
All my thoughts about AI matches Carmack's.Everyone is obsessed with OpenAI retards and either buy into their marketing scheme or go contrarian and claim all AI is scam. No one seems to realize that academic progress has nothing to do with large company fueling billions into selling some novelty product. Whenever OpenAI stays on the market or flops has no impact on future AI advancements whatsoever because it was never needed. AGI will be figured out by some dude or two who come up with new methods of doing AI that isn't just putting larger datasets into larger LLMs.
>>106778603No because the problem is the algorithms, not the hardware available. The OG AI stuff was too slow. Around 10 years ago they figured out how to parallelize things to make it faster. But it didn't fundamentally change the fact that it's just running a statistical model over data. Garbage in garbage out. AI doesn't know that people lie, or make mistakes, or intentionally poison it with spam. It also doesn't really learn anything, it just memorizes.
>>106778603>gvt agency achieving anything of valuelmaothe only purpose of a gvt is to waste money doing nothing of value so no they did not and never will.
>>106778752>it just memorizes.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=160F8F8mXlo
>>106778603No, and I think that Carmack should have stuck to computer graphics instead of venturing into topics that he clearly isn't good at.
