It's extremely convenient to connect everything via a single cable, even my TV in another part of the room is daisy-chained off the monitor.I'll eventually switch to a new, wireless keyboard, but I've been on this basic Dell one for the last 15 years.
>>106783872Yeah, I'd say you have a problem, unless you just don't have anything below the knees.

>>106808992You live in a goverment building?
>>106809509More so the latter I suppose, I've been losing a ton of weight over the past year, but that's come mostly from a better diet and being more active. I don't really go to a gym or lift much.
>>106803494nta but I have a Z420 with the 4 core E5 and a GTX970 that I still use for 1080p Premiere editing (capped out at the 2023 version though). Obviously can't play modern games, but it handled Cyberpunk on medium settings okay. For daily normal usage it's great though.
>>106809670I used to ride a stationary bike and play vidya, but your hands get all sweaty holding the controller and it's disgusting so now I just watch anime.
>>106801582You should upgrade to one(1) screen.Either a 16:9 4K, or an ultrawide 1440p.(Personally, I'm on team 4K)Your screen diagonal should be roughly inferior or equal to your desk depth. And don't fall for the oled meme. If it was actually good and/or worth the price, they would not need to shill it on /g/.
>>106809030You cannot really get a better desk if your room cannot fit one to begin with. Most people live in cramped appartments.
>>106806972It's chinkshit. Never buy that crap. Especially used. It's meant for enterprises. And they have to change them every three years because they became laggy as fuck past that point.
>>106810307I bet I live in one of the smallest apartments here and I can still fit a 80x160cm desk, not sure what's that in freedom units. It's still a cheap used desk though.
>>106809030The trick is to get a used desk for $30 or less.
>>106810115Same, but with a rowing machine. Watching a anime episode for a short workout before going to bed does wonders for my sleep.

Basic intros to sciences and arts, think logic, math, history of art and self sustaining. Illustrated books on nature, children stories.>>106815331Which one is yours?
>>106815623>Illustrated books on natureThere is an illustrated bird book there because I like birds, but the other stuff you mentioned is pointless. Any activity engaged with that is not necessary to perpetuation or providing an actionable skill that you plan to make use of is purely entertainment. Those all provide poor entertainment value.
>>106815558I see that you have 'Kaguya: love is war' and Konosuba LN, do you pickup stuff that is well known or does the mainstream stuff just happen to appeal to you? This is my (over capacity) light novel cabinet. My favorite series are:>Kumo desuka, nani ka?>Reborn as a Space Mercenary>Orc Eroica
>>106815656I guess you guys are gonna have to break your necks to view the image
>>106815656>>106815669I'm confusedWhy do you have your books placed upside down?I thought the image was upside down, but then these books shouldn't be floating (unless you taped them or some shit)
>>106815656Konosuba I really like and have read all the light novels so want to complete the set. Kaguya: love is war I regret buying. My local bookstore is a family business but still has the best manga selection in my city, so I always like to buy something while I'm there instead of just browsing. I was in the middle of enjoying the anime and only later found out that the manga goes to shit.
>>106815693look at the hinges, it looks like it's rotated 90° widdershins
>>106815693Android took a page outta Apple's book and started using only metadata to rotate images which 4chan proceeds to strip out since anons can't act civilized and not dox each other with geolocation metadata.>>106815712I also dropped the Kaguya manga... manga just have a tendency to overstay their welcome IMO. I didn't drop Konosuba technically, but years ago I couldn't find the next book in the series so I just paused it then forgot about it.The LN market has been taking off in recent years which I enjoy overall though.
>>106815650>Any activity engaged with that is not necessary to perpetuation or providing an actionable skill that you plan to make use of is purely entertainment.I like to think of these books as the mental blueprints before action, modern psychology couldn't face it as well outside some niches.Self sustaining stuff is too wide, could be gardening, woodwork, home repairs. I don't want anons to be Renaissance couch potatos.
>>106815734d'oh, that makes senseI'm not used to seeing manga stacked vertically
>>106815777>mangaNot quite, these are [light] novels. There is a better selection of "mature oriented'" novels compared to manga. There is still alot of the general tropes you expect like harems, but the MC is acutally written in a way to have reasonably 'earned' it instead of a bunch of girls just gifted to them by a stalling plot.
>>106815919That's a nice rationalization for reading mostly isekai slop. At least manga fags don't have their heads as far up their asses as LN fags.
>>106816049lmao, wtf even triggered you?
>>106816049>>106815919For series with an LN it's the most up to date version of the story so it's generally the best option if you care about the story. I don't think they're generally better tropes wise than manga, especially since all the popular ones get turned into manga, it's just that the denser amount of text allows for more descriptive writing.
>>106816049Legit, what made you so mad?
>>106816084>>106816281Tanya and Spider in combination with>mature orientedBut really the only thing to like there is the shelf lighting.
>>106816426Those publications are both like nearly a decade old now. The leaked Seven Seas memo to focus on more mature and +17 intended books came out well after them.
>>106801582Move the third screen on top of your main.
>>106815919>There is still alot of the general tropes you expect like harems, but the MC is acutally written in a way to have reasonably 'earned' it instead of a bunch of girls just gifted to them by a stalling plot.I see you have Watanare in there, so I'm just gonna ignore your postBut I do admit, I enjoy it despite the MC being just the usual harem protag but a cute gamer female with big boobsIt's one of my guilty pleasure LNs and I'm looking forward to the movieI'm interested in owning Japanese copies of Youjo Senki but it's probably gonna have a fuckton of very hard words since it's all about war, politics, etc.
>>106816523That's another old publication >>106816476
The other part of the battlestation. The TV stand is DYI custom made from scrap panels to fit the old TV and old Speakers. The big downside is that I miss having external speakers, so I'll probably mount the TV on the wall and put my old KRK RP5 monitors under it.>>106812709Thanks, Anon>>106812770Honestly I never imagined I'd still be using it all this time later, but it just doesn't die. I also have a Model M, but using it with a PS2/USB converter proved finicky and the lack of super key is annoying. I want to get a wireless keyboard with mechanical switches, something that would be an upgrade and remove one last wire from my desk.

>>106783872buy some big planks and extend your desk for cheap also get a 3rd monitor or bigger monitors
>>106809030Prebuilt desks are very expensive, a good big plank will cost max 40 euros and some a metalic skeleton is another 40, while IKEA trash is 200+
>>106819645Sounds like a skill issue, you shouldn't be looking at desks in the first place.IKEA sells very cheap table tops and you can get 4 basic tube legs for 15 EUR.If you want fancy designer legs with wheels then it's 70 EUR just for the legs.
>>106796003But staging for a battlestation thread is the only reason half of us clean up our rooms.
>>106819675Why not look for desks?, IKEA desk wood is usualy compressed trash that get damaged by a little bit of water, cheap legs will break, all prices I mentioned is for a big desk(real wood) maybe even 2m wide that will last for all your life and with adjustable legs that are like this " _|_ " so it doesnt take much space around the table especially the corners. Also a skeleton for under the desk for extra suport.
>>106780359This thread smells ghastly like cum.
>>106814030superb taste
Nothing special.
>>106819864
>>106819645Yep, I agree. That is essentially what I suggest here (>>106811638).>metallic skeletonDo a simple deflection calculation for your kind of wood, and you'll likely find you only need legs as long as you aren't using IKEA rubbish or engineered wood. 3 pin steel hairpin legs can be had for pretty cheap and support 100kg and up at 71cm (standard desk height). If you have butcher's block it's actually even stiffer than regular wood, so you can get away with a little more. I have a 2.5m desk on hairpins and no deflection.

Does anyone know if these are Ikea shelves? I got them at an estate sale a few months ago and looking to add more in the same type, but not sure. I've also got 2 bookcases that I'm 90% sure are Billy's, and these were all sold as one. The corner Billy's I'm finding are just a regular small Billy, whereas this one is wide and the sides butt up against the next bookcase without fuckery. The thing on the left has 2 sides and looks almost like a Lack but lacks are only 1 sided. Thanks

>>106780634>>106785015>>106789043I've got a question which is genuine - not trying to bait or cause drama I actually want to know. I don't know anything about anime - literally zero - I know about as much as I do about marine biology as I do about anime. What I'd like to know from all the folks with the anime girl pillows and figurines and artwork that I see constantly is it it a sexual thing? Do you jack off and or find them hot? Or is it more of 'brand association' in the context of like say someone into football might wear their football club's logo on their hat or something - and / or is it more 'spiritual' for want of a better word like you see them as people / beings in your lives providing guidance / comfort..? I've always wanted to know. Also did you get into them on your own when you were kids? or did you have friends who suggested like .. this/that anime girl is hot you should check her out? Or is it art do you like the art and do you do drawings yourself - Curious anon here.
>>106831055I got a mousepad of an anime girl I like and yes I’ve jacked off to her before. She represents a woman I’m still looking for and just haven’t found yet. I do think I’ll find her someday though.
>>106831055anime website, you need to watch lucky star to even get a basic understanding of the conversations taking place on this website
Just got myself a new desk today
>>106831055>I don't know anything about anime - literally zero - I know about as much as I do about marine biology as I do about anime. You should watch some then. Aria the Animation is a nice choice.>What I'd like to know from all the folks with the anime girl pillows and figurines and artwork that I see constantly is it it a sexual thing? Do you jack off and or find them hot?Probably some people do but no I don't. I just think they look cute and I like supporting my oshi. I ship a lot of my favourite characters together and headcanon that they're lesbians, to me it would feel wrong to make it sexual, like I was imposing on them.>Or is it more of 'brand association' in the context of like say someone into football might wear their football club's logo on their hat or something - and / or is it more 'spiritual' for want of a better word like you see them as people / beings in your lives providing guidance / comfort..?Yeah basically this.>Also did you get into them on your own when you were kids?I got into anime when I was around 13 after watching Sailor Moon on TV.
>>106831055It's partially a sexual thing for me, but I find anime-style fluffy girls to simply be generally cute and aesthetically pleasing.t. >>106785015
>>106831158>>106831524I appreciate the feedback thank you. it also occurred to me after watching that I did in fact see one 'anime?' thing once - "Experiments Lain" - not sure how that rates on any scale that is out there. But I liked the concept of it.
