Why aren't you using it?
>>
>>106785254
because its made by idiots
clem cant write code for shit and only forks 15 year old code from gnome
clem gets 15k in donations per month but refuses to hire people to help out
cinnamon still doesnt support wayland
it cockblocks new users that expect shit like hdr and fractional scaling
>>
>>106785300
Use case for hdr and fractional scaling?
>>
It was my first distribution that I used for an extended period, it's good. I wouldn't use it nowadays because it's Ubuntu based - although it looks like they have a Debian version named LMDE, but I'm not much of a Debian fan either. I just don't like APT.

That being said I'd definitely recommend it as a "just werks" distribution. When you're a new user it's difficult to find something that doesn't fuck you in ways you cannot comprehend.
>>

look how it's written on your screenshot, retard. it's Xfce not XFCE
>>
but arch looks cooler
>>
this but with debian
>>
>>106785300
Nobody expects nor needs hdr, most don't know what it is. Wayland doesn't work. Linux Mint is a meme, install Arch.
>>
>>106787556
install lmde anon

omarchy

lmao no

MX linyx already is the answer the best XFCE distro question, mint is bloat
>>
>>106785254
My fav distro, but... 3 whole fucking minutes to boot on a hard disk... :( Win7 boots in 25 seconds on the very same hard disk. There is no excuse for this.

ez and without involving backdoored isos
>>

what is wrong with apt?
>>
>>106790458
Slow, almost as slow as p*cman
>>
>>106785300
this, clem is a retard
>>
>>106785300
dude's talking about the Xfce edition though, not the Cinnamon faggotry. it's basically nicer Xubuntu
>>
>>106790487
i guess, updoots do take some time.
im on sid and just did like a 1000 package update in 10-15mins.
are there any significantly faster options?

why lie?
>>
>>106790522
Once you've used APK (alpine linux) you won't look at package managers the same. It takes like 2-3 seconds to install a package on an old thinkpad over wifi.

2-3 seconds per package so 2000-3000seconds to update a 1000. doesn't sound fast my man
>>
xfce doesn;t support fractional scaling properly its complete garbage
>>
