I hope they reconsider, because the systemd way is garbage why because it only works for one release of the system and next release the package get's unloaded and needs to be edited, that's a pain in the ass as these get truned into raw files and sqashfsed. and sometimes layering packages will make the OS unbootable.

I know this is an attention thread but the reason why people 'distrojump' is just the fact that Linux ecosystem is an unadulterated mess, no matter how you look at it.
15-20 years ago it looked like things were going somewhere but for some reason everything got even worse. Multiple desktop environments what all have decades of history and yet somehow they are all overly baroque. Even XFCE has gone to shit, etc.
People distrohop because they are not happy but it won't change anything, it's always the same thing.
It's great if you are unemployed or don't actually do anything with your computer than browse web or use terminal to display neofetch but outside this certain area I would not recommend linux to anyone. 20 years ago I would have done so but not today.
