The cable for audio probably has poor shielding. It might help if you route it along the back of your case if it is just in the open area where the motherboard and electronics are. It could also just be your motherboard itself.

there's no translation layer on windows. its using proprietary windows compiler which is based on llvm (every gpu understands this).

same case on windows and linux either way using different drivers. CPU threads and GPU CUs are sitting idle...because vulkan is all commands handled by the dev. dev should be keeping gpu and cpu always busy (to a certain point). I'm not talking about 100% usage but better than 60% usage.

Hey so, I have a wifi 6 OpenWRT router and it works just fine but my home is a little too big for it, so I was either thinking of getting a wifi extender or another router so I can increase my 5 ghz range downstairs, I can connect it either via an Ethernet cable or just wifi, and I'm looking to spend about $50, maximum $100 on this purchase. If you can't afford a 16gb 5060 ti/9060 XT, just get an arc b580 (now that they are finally available). You'll get better performance and 1080p overhead than the 8 gb cards from either team red or green.

There is exactly one reason I can see to get a 5060 or 5050 8 gb. You're getting the SFF one from zotac and your plan is to put that GPU into a case the size of a calculator. If that's your plan, get the 8 gb card. If not, just get the arc or save up for either the 5060 ti 16gb or the 9060 XT 16 gb.

No. ASRock is having problems where they are burning 9000 series AMD CPUs. If you already have the 9600x, get an Asus or an MSI or something. I want a black MSI motherboard. Tomahawk seems like the best premium version but there are so many of them. The Gaming version is much cheaper but I'm not sure about the difference in quality. How do I decide which one to go with? I'm going to be getting a 9800x3d and a 5070ti with 2 m.2 ssd's. Nothing much more fancy than that no streaming or AI stuff.

It should never be more than a few minutes with defaults. If it is taking too long and the lights aren't changing, reboot because its clearly stalled for some reason or another. any insight on usb devices disconnecting on am5 + msi mobos? I upgraded without doing research and am now (rarely) encountering this problem. Dont really know how to replicate it but i've had my controller dongle disconnect and reconnect while gaming, as well as an external harddrive.

would you guys reccomend testing all the components outside the case?
It's my first time building and I dont want to fuck anything up
on that note, once the pc is built, is it ok to put it on its side while i add another nvme?
i dont want windows to shit the bed while its installing because I had multiple drives connected but I dont like the idea of taking the gpu out/reinstalling it when the case is upright, shit feels like it could slip and crack the pcb

I know this is not directly PC Gaming Related but can i have some recomendations for electric/rechargable air blowers that also can function as a vacuum cleaner?
I recently had to clean my keyboard and entire PC case and i didnt realize how fucking long it took me to clean everything after 6 months of no maintenance, a lot of dirt shit got in even with dust filters.

There's so many air blowers on aliexpress and lots of RPM that im starting to believe is just false marketing and i dont know which one is truly good. ofc one that has strong blows and sucking power is best but i honestly have no clue.

Budget is $30-40 and preferably aliexpress.

currently running 2x140mm intakes, a 120mm and 360mm aio as exhaust
I run a 9600x that idles around 40c and doesnt reall go above 70-75
i was thinking about adding 2 more 140mm on the front side of the case and maybe 2 more 120mm under the gpu
i know my thermals arent really gonna have a lot of benefit, but maybe i can dick around in the fan curves a bit more to get the whole thing a bit quieter
