Of course they fucking would. How would they authenticate the cartridges if it is open source and DRM free? HP wouldn't give them the ability to talk to the cartridges.
Most likely they picked a very common cartridge that you can get your hands on and refill fairly easily.

For people who's not getting it, banks indeed print unlimited money through credit, the fact that the economy is inflating and housing prices are sky rocketing is because of banks unlimited credit supply, enslaving people to debit in one hand while inflating the prices based on speculation not the real cost. This ponzi scheme is only allowed by banks (and central one too), the numbers in your account are fake when you get a loan, not real money, and the more people realize this and take their money out of the banks the more troubled banks are, hence bank run is something if all people rushed to take their deposits, because banks used those and don't have your money.

Modern organic inks alter cellulose molecules to change their color and are thought to last until the paper turns to dust. Laser print toner is mechanically closer to carbon ink, which has a very good track record through ancient history.

There's a reason the English government has rules about writing important documents in carbon ink on fresh vellum from actual veal. We don't actually know how any of this modern shit is going to hold up on a 300 year time frame.
>>
>>106820962
I was making this argument the other day to point out that 5% APR on a home loan is, in fact, completely insane, when you factor in that defaulting probably means that the bank gets back >100% of their initial investment by reclaiming both the home, all interest payments, and probably all principal too somehow; and that the money they lent you in the first place is some combination of money lent from the Federal Reserve at like 0-1% interest, and 100% fake money that they conjured out of nothing by taking advantage of 0% fractional reserve banking.
I was called "delusional".
If only everyone knew how hard the central banks are relentlessly fucking them over, there would be bankers swinging from street lights.

I know who you're talking about and that dude is based. He literally just started doing it as a hobby since he was already a printing nerd and only started counterfeiting full time after losing his job, iirc.

Real countries just make it out of plastic now. It turns out that high quality plastic printers and a few rolls of iridescent foil make money expensive enough to produce that it if you can produce it, you're probably well off enough to not need to.
>>
>>106830755
i hate this phrase so much. hardware does not have "source"
>>
>>106830769
Yes it does. You think HP has elves hand carving every piece of plastic in their printers? It's all CAD and HDL. Even if they depend on special proprietary manufacturing techniques only available at one company, they still take manufacturing instructions compiled from some kind of human readable input.
>>
>>106830395
>probably all principal too
Nah banks never get the principal. It goes to the government if nobody claims it, and real estate attorneys trawl foreclosure records for houses with outstanding principal. They can charge commission for returning it to the owner or their heirs, and it's basically no work on their part. They hire companies to cold call people.
>>
>>106810581
only the Jews are allowed to do that
>>
>>106831262
My experience is that banks will structure loans so regular monthly payments exclusively pay down the interest part of the loan first, and only once that's covered in full will principal start getting touched at all. So, in many or maybe even most cases, there's not even a single cent of principal to worry about, and all the interest is of course forfeit. Then, if you're in one of the states not marked in blue, they'll sell the house for just enough that there's still a little bit left on the loan, and then go after the debtor for the few thousand bucks or whatever that's left over, just to try to squeeze a little bit more blood out of the stone. So long as the banks make sure to sell foreclosed homes to each other, like a yarmulked circlejerk, they'll all turn a huge profit at (You)r expense.
>>
>>106832157
Your experience is being a nigger apparently. I have no problem with any of that except they keep asking for bailouts when the loans default.
