>Less than 1% of Black Ops 7 beta cheaters got into a match, Activision says>97% of cheaters detected in the Black Ops 7 beta were spotted in under 30 minutes, and very few ever made it into a match.Cheating is fixedHow come nobody else could do it? Are modern software devs now goated?
it's another kernel level spyware anticheat
>>106818092How do they know how many cheaters they failed to detect?Who bothers making bespoke cheats for a beta?Who the fuck cheats in a beta? This is PRspeak nonsense
Computer Vision, DMA, and a separate machine running the cheats already exist, and work for most games. This is just skimming the retardest of retards off the top
>>106818715That's an insane amount of effort to go through just to cheat in an online game. And the sad part is that people will do it. Cheating isn't fixed. The analog hole in particular is impossible to fix. If you have a robot sitting at computer simulating a player you can never detect that. You could try to require a webcam on at all times and use ai to verify its a real person playing. But hackers can fake a video stream and nobody would ever go for it. The solution is to make it as annoying as possible for casual cheaters
>>106818503Player reports probably
>>106818092>Cheating is fixedCheating is just nigger behavior that no amount of anticheat will fix. Put China, Russia, India and Brazil in their own containment zone and watch cheating drop to near 0.
>>106818116fpbp. Decent anticheat depends on game logic but these companies want a generic solution for every game, thus spyware, to see if the input really comes from the keyboard and mouse, if you're doing network sniffing, or using screen capture. It's looking at what you're doing on your computer and can spy a lot more than just game cheating.
>>106818900people cheat in every country
>>106818833> analog hole> onaholeHow does a fleshlight help in cheating?
>>106818092Dumb. I have seen hardware aim bots, AI/computer vision machines with servos literally using keyboard and mouse taking top places on the leaderboard. Cheating is very much alive and those retard can do nothing about it.
>>106818092>97% of cheaters detected in the first 30 minutes97% of the cheaters they caught, which isn’t even the majority, I suspect, based on how manny reports of cheating I’ve seen. I don’t install shit like this anyways, but if I were going to, it had better fucking work if it’s going to be so invasive.
>>106818092I miss csgo's system. Overwatch it was called I believe. I can't fathom why they might stop it, especially if they can just reward users with cases or some other digital nonsense.
>>106818116i don't care if it's kernel level as long as it makes retards seethe
>>106818092>play DMZ>at least 2 cheaters per gameNice anti cheat btw.
>>106818092Does it rootkit your OS? If yes, I'll just not play it.
anti-cheat fails because they always focus on more invasive shit on the client side rather than learning the lesson any other dev that makes a server learns early - You can't trust the client. You'll see cheats in games like being able to fly or move super fast, the devs didnt even think to make the server check stuff like max movement speed or ground contact server side. Even for more advanced game with client-side anticheat they'll still do stuff like sending the position of non-visible enemies to the client, which is how bad cheats happen. Fix the basics like that (and flag & ban cheaters for the minor anomalies) and 99% of the cheating problems are gone.>>106818965>>106818833>>106818715>The analog hole in particular is impossible to fix. If you have a robot sitting at computer simulating a player you can never detect that. This is 0.1% of cheaters and if it's even used in the wild at all. 17 year old script kids are easily filtered by hardware requirements. But even so the analog cheat will just act like a really good player, reach a high rank and everyone else can play normally.
>>106818092PVP FPS games with matchmaking fucking suck. It doesnt matter if there are cheaters, there will be some autist with 12000 hours in your game, and fighting him will be no different from fighting a cheater if not harder.
>>106819362I guess aim bots are fine then
>>106818900>doesn't mention Arabs at allasalam walikum habibi! hhhhhh
>>106819362I think it's because doing server side visibility checks for every single person in the server is expensive. If you don't send the position of a non visible player until the server determines they're visible then you end up with shit like players suddenly teleporting into view and killing you because of lag. Especially with 64 and 128 player games. But you are mostly right move everything to the server. Even then aimbots can still work, the second an enemy is on a screen I can write a bot to detect it and snap the cursor to it
>>106818965Hardware aim bots? So basically an Artisan mousepad and a V3 Pro? lol!
>>106818833you can buy turnkey devices that do this right now
hello CEO of nintendo here our anticheat is 100% ideal trust me
>>106819362>devs didnt even think to make the server check stuff like max movement speed or ground contact server sidewhats hilarious is that Quake3, and some downstream games like Tremulous, detected this shit over 20 years ago, server side, and would handle it then.
>>106819526>I think it's because doing server side visibility checks for every single person in the server is expensive.Yes, a little bit. Not massively so, but they're greedy since they also don't want player-hosted servers like the old days.>Even then aimbots can still work>>106819466>I guess aim bots are fine thenMuch smaller problem then.>>106819983$650-$850 + ~$1000 for a PC99% of cheaters already filtered
>>106818092This problem is literally solved by player hosted servers. Keep in mind they don't give you self hosted servers so that they keep you as a captive pay piggy and that includes every psychological manipulation in the book to keep you playing (and not because you're having fun).
>>106820476Fun is outdated. Fun hasn't been a goal for game devs or games for decades now
>>106818092Soon you will only be allowed to play Call Of Duty™ Black Slops™ in an approved establishment under the watch of a certified Activision® invigilator to make sure you aren't cheating in a video game.
>>106818116but it works
>we caught 100% of the cheaters that we knew about??????????
>>106820453>$650-$850 + ~$1000 for a PC>99% of cheaters already filteredPersonally I think this shit is awesome, if only because kernel level anticheat should not be accepted. The cheaper this gets the less legitimate kernel level bullshit becomes.
>>106818715DMA is literally losing the battle against anticheats
