Have you ever used GuixSD or NixOS?Are you still using it or have you switched back to a regular distro?
>>106829528After using a functional package manager and transactional updates... no, I can't imagine I would switch back on anything other than WSL.
>>106829528Yes I have used NixOS for nearly a year in the past.I am currently trying to install Gentoo>>106829675if I fail I will probably just install Guix or NixOS
>>106829528Considering it. Right now I'm using Debian with some of the config scripted via Puppet
>>106829528I used it for a while but I did not get sex with Suika and uninstalled it again
>>106829528switched to GuixSD when Nix community started giving into the troonery. it's just a better system than NixOS anyway. only problem i have with it is the package ecosystem--everything else i'm enthusiastic or fine with.
>>106829528Been using nixos for 3 years. Never going back.
nixos for about 5 years.
guix is cool, but unfortunately it only has foss software in the main channel, so u rely on non-guix which is maintained by random people. this may not seem bad at first glance, but guix has its own linux kernel that only contains free software so good luck with hardware support. guile is very nice however.
